optimum width for 600w?

I am building a false wall in a bedroom in my basement, and was wondering what the best width for the growroom would be? It will be about 12-16 ft long and 7 feet high. I was planning to start with a 600w hps, and add another after I am sure things are growing well.

I was thinking 3 feet wide, but am unsure. Also is a 600w to small? too big?

i run two six hundred watt hps lights in a room eight feet deep six feet wide and seven feet tall, and am kickin myself for not getting two one thousand watt hps. if you plan on usin your entire room you will def need more then two

a 600wattt will cover 3.3 sqft...

three feet sounds good for a width. maaaaybe four but make use of goof reflective material. if you plan on usin the whole room youre gonna need at least two more 600s.
