They'll work on the odor and your sinuses. It takes a real strong one to mask the smell with no worries. They will dry out your nose creating the nastiest boogers known to man, your eyes will burn, and make you light headed.

haha yeah thats why oz gens aren't supposed to be used where you are living.

if you do use one it should be in another room or air space that you are venting to and then vent to the outside after that.

GROW ROOM ====>(vent to attic)====>OZ GEN in attci=====> (vent to outside)====> outside.

this way you are never in contact with the oz.

If you want something similar, try a negative ion generator. They work on some pretty sound principles, and they're actually good for your respiratory system, most hospitals in Europe are required to have them. I have one and there is almost no smell at all, granted I have only been flowering two small plants, but I never smell anything. They create negatively charged particles in the air that grab hold of anything else floating around, then it simply drops to the ground for you to vacuum up. Plus my sinuses have never been clearer hahaha

I use ozone in my bedroom with zero problems. I don't get light headed, or get nasty boogers, or any of that stuff. It's all about portion control.

But in large doses, it's very bad for you. Ozone will strip paint off the walls, eat away at metals, and take the smell right out of your plants. But the right amount takes the smell out of the air and leaves the rest untouched.

i used to use 15min On 45min Off... but that was probably overkill with a Uvonair3000 in a 7by15' ... I wanted ZERO smell though. I've read that 15 minutes every 2-3 hours might be sufficient. They work -very- well, but are not as safe to use as a Carbon Scrubber/Filter. But they cost 1/3 as much, so i use one (in a room adjoining a living area).
