Default air cooled hoods exhaust
Okay, I posted in another thread about getting a 6" air cooled hood.
Here's the post if anyone can help me choose an appropriate hood/reflector (I accidentally posted in indoor growing rather than here in room design.
Picking an air cooled hood

Anyway, I did some searches and came up with too many hits to get an answer to the following:

For a 600W with 6" ducting, what size axial fan do I need? Remember, this is for the hood ONLY, not the room exhaust which will be attached to 4" carbon filtration.
I saw those duct boosting fans at Home Depot for about $20 and they say they are rated at 250CFM. Also, am I supposed to push fresh air through the lamp or pull it through? Is one more efficient that another?

Thats what I use for a 1000watt like with about 20' of 6" ducting and a 180 degree turn to block light leaks. Push it, put the fan between the outlet and the light. Fan doesn't get in the warm air stream last longer and its the right thing. VV
