Default 400 watt light?
i'm interested in using this. http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct...roductID=48410. would the duct fan that comes with it really be sufficient enough to cool the room like they say?

I'm gonna have to say no. Its only 5 foot tall, heat builds up pretty quick.

If you duct the lamp (with a glass insert/lens) from outside through lamp to out side, plus the standard vent fan, that should do.

That 4inch vent fan that they have is kinda pitiful. (I have a 6inch and its useless)

It says it can take a five inch one. Would the 120 or so cfm be adequate?

I think I'll just avoid the tent situation. Seems like more hassle than its worth. They have an air cooled hood setup and a 265cfm blower that seems more enticing. Much thanks.

I don't know how your setup is but I am running five 400 watt lights over a sixty bucket hydro system in a 12 X 15 room and to vent all that heat and to keep humidity down I use a 16 inch window exhaust fan I got from air and water inc out of Cali. It can move up to 2500 CFM out of or into a room. It's as simple as setting it in a window and sliding the 2 side panels out to secure it into the window. Has a built in thermostat also. It goes for about $99.00 plus shipping
