Whats the difference between a carbon scrubber and a can fitler?

pretty sure a scrubber cleans the flowing air inside the room, and a filter cleans the air as it exits.

Can is simply a brand of filters/scrubbers.

I would say the terms "Carbon Scrubber" and "Filter" are interchangeable. But if you want to get technical filters generally don't contain activated carbon, they're just layers of fabric that are geared more towards removing PARTICLES from the air. Carbon Scrubbers contain carbon which actually traps ODOR that's in the air (as well as particles).

I think Forset has it. Scrubber implies "Carbon Scrubber" where as filter can basically be any sort think that filters the air. Traditionally (as per Wikipedia) a scrubber implies that there is some sort of liquid used as a scrubbing agent, but there are also many forms of dry scrubbers.

Overall, and particularly in our context, I'd say they are interchangeable.
