once i save up the money this is what i was thinking of getting to grow with. a 2'x8''x2'8'' darkroom w/ (2) 2ft 4blub t5's to use as my veg room.I decided to go with thoes over the 2ft 8bulb light just for a lil bit of flexibilty in case i have to move my lighting around in any way. and a 3'11''x3'11'' darkroom with a 400w or 430w hps light for flowering with all the right venting and order controll. i was gonna go with the 4'11''x4'11'' darkroom bt bt i think that space would be good for a 600watter not the 400 im gettin and 1k would just be over kill. i wanted to start out growng 3 plants outta (3) 5gal DWC buckets. do you think i could grow with more then jus the 3 buckets in my flowing room after i have done 1 or 2 successful grows or is that around as many as i can get in that space?

You can cover a 4'11" x 4'11" DR with a 432w T5 fixture. Gotta keep the plants short though, even with a 1K.

that would be the 4ft t5 tho right? my veg room is only gonna be 2'8''x2'8'' so that wouldnt work at all for me bt thanks

2'8"x2'8" is way too small for what you described. I'm just warning you, you'll be disappointed.

You'd be better off doing a SOG with 1 5-gallon bubbler in the small DR for cuts and a 3x3 E&F in the bigger.

If you're vegging 3 plants in a 2'8' square tent the only place they can go is up and even on a 45-day strain, they gone get huge. You'd have to run a vertical bulb in the 4x4 to get what you want. Think about a SOG.

if all goes well with this set up an i get the money to expand i was thinking or using a 9'10''x9'10'' DR ( if nt jus a room in my place) and put in (4) 4'x4' ebb&flow tables with (4) 600watters 1 ova ach table. i no i'll need hella venting for that bt i'll have erthing i need b4 i evn try somhing this big. i'll jus use the 3'11''x3'11'' DR w/ the 400watter to hold mothers and to veg any clones i mite wanna grow a lil more. and use the 2'8''x2'8'' room for rooting and holding clones. the only thing is i didnt wanna use mothers to clone from i was gonna veg my plants and den jus take clones to root right b4 putting them n2 my flowering room and that way i could keep things goin with clones w/o have to have to use mothers bt if i did that what use would i have for the my old rooms lol idk anybody got any thoughts on this also

yea i was gonna sog when i went with the bigger grow i jus posted. so you dont think i could veg 3 plants to 12'' or maybe a lil sorta under the (2) 2ft 4bulb t5's in the 2'8''x2'8'' room? untill i put them in the flowing room?

What I'm saying is they're going to get way bigger than that before the flowering room is harvested. It's going to get so big, the bottom leaves won't produce for you. See? they'll be able to grow up but not out.

You could clone a plant 5 weeks into flower but they'll take a month to root, then you'll have to reveg em for another month before they take off.

You gotta keep your plants short, and the best way to do that with the things you think you need is a sea of green. If you run a 3x3 E&F SOG you can be harvesting a pound every other month. 1 5-gallon bubbler for cuts and you're set.

Or just do 1 huge bush at a time. Did you read the link I posted?

yea thats a good idea and i see what you mean about the plants growing to big while the others are flowing if i take the clones b4 i put them in2 flowering the only way my idea would work IN THAT SPACE would be if i had a mother plant to take clones from around 2-3 weeks b4 the flowing plant got finished. then use those clones to put in2 flowing after they rooted and grew a lil in thoes 2-3 week.
