first grow journal - comments always welcome

thought i'd start a formal grow journal

current set up:
germinated 4 of 5 carmelicious seeds
vegged for 8 weeks, in second week of flowering
2 males, 2 females
600 watt hps in single grow area
no co2, no humidifier

environmnent:
75 F air temp
45% relative humidity
scotts soil in 3 gallon
miracle grow for vegging

pics:
first one is at 8 weeks. second is in week 10, second week of flower

thoughts for second grow:
add separate flowering room, use mh for veg room
clone instead of growing from seed
add co2 to flowering room
eliminate light pollution
add humidifier in veg room

correction - should have said i used a mix of scotts, sand and perlite.

working on my new flowering room today. would love to share pics but would have to kill you for security reasons.

already have room built, ventilation cut and water access.

today i'm going to install the light, make the door airtight, add ducting, secure electrical connections and finish the water supply line

need to buy: carbon filter and inline fan, higher cfm fan, propane tank, square pots, more mylar,

Nice lookin man can't wait to se your ladies fill out. You planning on doing a seed run? If not I would pull you males soon. I use a MH to veg sometimes I don't really notice a differenece. Plants maybe are a lil bushier. I will have to stay tuned for this I almost ordered a pack of carmelicious ( i think they are fems right?) but I ordered the L.A. con insted so I will be keepin a sharp eye.

thanks - i did pull the males 10 days ago, failed to mention it. i thought the seeds were feminized but 50% male sucks.

no problem man, 50% not to bad. I think I did read somewhere that MH's do help with the male to female ratio, but I'm not sure how true that is I get about 50/50 each time.
Did you take any clones? Growing from clones is so much faster then growing from seeds.

i can't clone until i have the second room because the single room is on 12/12. still haven't decided if i'm going to clone - this is just a personal grow and depending on yield i am good with 2 to 4 plants at a time.

I know what your are saying, I keep mine around 4-6 females depending on the strain. You should take atleast one clone from each plant that way if you find your "holy grail" of plants you won't have lost your gentics. You won't know how good the smoke is until your have smoked it.

Plus working from clones if your wanting to grow like two big bushes you will save yourself like a month of veg time, plus you dont have to waste the time, soil, nutes on male plants. Just some food for thought.
