First days abstract:
Three days ago I started the process for my first grow, with germination. The seeds I'm using come from PlanetWax. I have 10 Big Bud seeds and 5 untagged seeds, they might be Sweet Bud seeds, since there's an offer on their site about the extra 5 seeds. I germinated 4 seeds, 2 BigBuds and 2 SweetBuds. The Sweet Buds didn't progress, but the Big Buds did make some progress. Here it is: After 24 hours of germination, one of the seed was already cracked and showed a small white root. I decided to put it on the medium right away because I couldn't wait ![]() The second seed was kept in germination until today, for a total of 4 days. It's already open and the white root was a bit more than 1cm long. It's now growing on soil. The soil I'm using was prepared by me. I don't have english names for them, since I live in a spanish speaking country. The growing medium: 25% "humus de lombriz" (worm humus?), mixed with 75% Turba (there's info in wikipedia, in spanish) Both containers are kept outdoors. They are not receiving direct sunlight, and are shadowed by 3 banana plants. I'm waiting until they get stronger. Other Info: I'm growing in tropic weather. It's rain season from June-October, but there's 12 hours of sun and eventually rains, sometimes pretty heavy. I'm concerned about putting my plants under the rain as they are so little. Days are hot, 28c-30c. I will post pictures in the next days. Any suggestions, or any help you could give me regarding my plants, is well appreciated. |

Sweet Bud is a new strain with a sweet taste and a real happy, funky high. The plant can be a slow starter and can take time to sprout but will develop into a vigorous plant. It is therefore important not to vegetate too long as the plant can stretch quite a bit during budding. These sweet buds can develop red hairs and produce a sweet smell. Suitable for indoors or the greenhouse. It can be grown outdoors under ideal conditions but is not suitable for cooler climates or very dry areas
i found this on a site and thought it might help you.

This picture is from BB1. Not very good quality, but I can see the first leaves starting to show in the middle.
BB2 is still undergrownd. SweetBuds germinating where discarted by mistake. 2 more seeds are now on germination. |

BB1 is growing tall, look at the pictures taken yesterday. I moved her to a place with a bit more light, under some smaller plants than the banana she was under.
BB2 is showing up a little, finally. The other seeds: 1 SweetBud sprouted. Will be called SB1 from now on, hopefully. 1 SweetBud is still in germination. Some times I think I'm thinking too much about growing these. Maybe I should let nature do it's job. |

These is BB1 today. I think she's pretty small, but finally leaves are open, and I can see second pair of leaves coming out.
The others are fine, BB2 is out of the grownd finally. It rained all weekend, and there wasn't much sun, i think that's why BB1 is still so small. Today its very sunny and she's out there sucking it |
