So I was cleaning out the vegg room so I decided to warm up my ballast pre-flowering with some 24hr metal halide time. I moved all my stuff down there.



Of course the little guys are the widow cindy, and they are getting new soil today.

In about of month the root ball should look like this




Here are a couple of shots of them repotted in 1gal grow bags full of FFOF in the flowering room (currently in vegg mode) Plants are between 6-9in.





















So there we go, As soon as I can clone a branch ill number them and flower the clones to determine sex. Ill follow this up with some room pics a little later. Keep tokin!

I never understood the clone to figure out sex..... I dont think theres any males in those pics....maybe the last one....Ive seen most growers do that technique....my boys showed sex in the third and forth week, after they sprouted....sex is easy to determine....if you wait another week youll surely know thier sex...and then clone them.

How do you tell sex in veg? They dont show sexual characteristics till you flower them. And for the love of god tell me how you can tell from the above photos.

Shittt....maybe i did something wrong....but 3 of my 5 masta kush babies showed early(sacs)if there not showing yet.... i would think there female....like i said balls show first...

Nah dude, Sex characteristics show AFTER a few weeks flowering or sometimes after an extensive (2+months) vegetation period. Unless a strain was auto flowering I certainly would not expect to see sexual charicteristics after a month.

Again the ONLY way to tell sex is at the nodes.

For the sake of comparison, here is a re vegged satori clone at 2 months.



You will note the two "barb" like protrusions are much larger then the widowcindy. This is due to the age. The little ball between them is the female sex organ, just barely viable. In fact male plants often look like this very early when you can only make out one ball, my rule is as soon as I see two balls I kill the plant.

1000 Watt HPS/MH from HTGsupply. Easy cool 8 reflector plumbed with 6in tubing from outside to outside. Its cooled by a home depot 6in duct booster fan.

Here is my odor control, a homemade carbon scrubber. It looks a little ghetto because I tore it apart refilling it this time around so pardon its appearance, but it totally masks the odor.




The Filter/ room exhaust is run by an 8in home depot duct booster fan.




Exhaust is directly above the hood at the highest point.



Here is the light intake, note that I covered the ceiling in plastic to act as a vapor/odor barrier. It significantly cut down on odor that had wafted through the house.

Man u have some major equipment...that must have costed a small fortune....nice setup...as for preflowers.....its possible to see sex after a month from sprout...how are u gonna tell me...one of my boys had over 20 balls after a month in....the second had more a week later...and the third he took about a month and a half too show...nothing is out of the realm of possibility....

I know, what caused it? Wacky photo period? All my veg stuff is kept under 24 hrs light, I would think a dark heavy photo period 16/8 or something would prompt early flowering.

The equipment is not that expensive, the lighting system all said and done was about 420 from htg with grow bags and hangers and the thermometer. I cant stress enough that 400 bucks worth of light and 100 bucks worth of soil is all you need to grow 5 grand worth of pot in 2 months.

in two months???? thats crazy fast... im more patient with mine....my baby is 75 days old....with 24/0 of course the plant grows faster....but id rather give them a break....continious light might stess them...plus i dont like my lights on all the time... yours look great thought since you have good ventillation....how much was it for those vents??? did you do it???? i thought its good to do 18/6 for good root development.....plus you see sex early...like u said....

i love that veg room!! Nice setup. I really like how there are drains on the floor. Where thoe like that when you cam in or do you have to do that yourself? Awesome!
