hey its nice to see ya still going at it

a lot of determination for someone whos been set back a lot. I found i was encountering so many stupid problems from trying to grow in a throw together set up of my own so i feel your pain

what ive learned from my friends who grew a lot and read my journal i made 2 major mistakes that i see you might be making

1) worrying about every little detial and trying to fix it ... it ends up being more trouble then its worth

2) not understanding the strain... from what i gathered if you tailer make your set up to be suitable to what youre growing it works out soooo much easier, growing WW in a small set up with inconsistant lighting was a huge downfall for what the plant needs... i know you dont know your strain which sucks but i suggest you look into getting some seeds of something you know any reading up on it for the next grow, if ya need any advice im sitting on a pile of seeds i dunno what to do with i can throw some in the ground before ya to let you know

Well guys, just got back from being out of town for 6 days, upon my return, my hood had fallen onto the plants, internal temp was at 108F, and all 5 were extreemly crispy.

This is going to be it for awhile till i can get a hps, and good genetics, its a shame, and a huge loss for me. But hell whats new.

Anyway i'm thinking WW first off on a 150w hps should do fine. Bums me out quite a bit, but mabey its a sign. What a shame......wasn't expecting that to have happened, but looked like the hood came apart, the plexy squished all 5 and they are all very crispy.....and need i say dry to the bones. I'm not going to post any pictures, not really worth it in the long run........

I should be back after while hopefully with proper genetics and a hood that wont FK up, and getting away from CFL too.

youre very lucky there was not a fire lol

i think your set up while good requires a lot of fixing and planning before you get your next grow off the ground, its a shame that this one did not give you anything from it

Not concerned with a fire hazard, its set up properly, and temps have risen alot higher than 108F with no problems for lengths of time. All pots were bone dry so that was a factor in temp as well. Its a big loss but i'm going to get this going after while and i know for sure that i had a 12weeker, which is a very long time, no clue on type either, so just gonna get somethig i know the growth pattern of, etc, and other people can suggest based on the plant not a unknown strain. HPS all the way too, and until i get that i wont be starting again. CFL's need be too close, which is not ideal in my head with proper cooling in a enclosure like mine in an enviroment like mine. I'll most likely get another fan like i have, and a carbon sock. Then i will start again.

Will do B, talked to a friend, and as soon as i get to a point where i can start he said he'd give me a clone of the one i gave him, so i may be back sooner than later. I just want to get a proper light, and setup that can be permeninet, instead of a foam core hood with cfl's in it. HPS is the way i'm going, with my uvb added as well.

Will also get back to the scrog method, as per my origional design.

Well just curious, Havn't watered them since i walked in and saw they were all crispy......

Took 3 of them today and pulled off all leaves, they were all crispy, and topped them off on water. Any chance they might reveg some, and i'll still have girls, i'm in no rush, so in 2-3weeks if they would be revegged that would make me rather happy....Is this a possibility?

Metal, sorry about what happened, that sucks. I dont have a journal, but Im doing OK with CFLS. What Ive used to keep up my plastic barrier is some velcro, and some of that epoxy putty that the guy sells on TV. It works pretty well.

Try reveging her. It doesnt hurt to try, since you were going to cancel the whole op anyways.

plants do put up with an awful lot of abuse. if there is a root ball and any amount of live (not crispy) leaf and stem, the plant will more than likely be salvageable... whether it will ever yield anything is a different matter

if it was my grow though, i would cull this strain as being FAR too problematical for your grow style and start fresh. preferably with good genetics but even just with different bag seed.

i have culled a couple strains that i actually liked the final bud from just because they were such a problematic bitch to grow... and those werent even as temperamental as yours.

learning is good though... you may not have any bud to show for your efforts yet, but you sure have learned a ton
