Default Grow #2, I kinda know what I'm doing this time...PIX

Ok, so I attemped my first grow in mid Feb. It didn't exactly turn out how I had hoped. There were more dead seedings than I'd care to count, I lost 2 plants to some weird root virus, and well, the list goes on. When I first started out I had 1 seed in a glass pickel jar on a window sill. Indoor CFL grow journal of someone who doesn't know what they're doing. That's a link to my first grow journal.

I've learned a lot since then and my operation has evolved quite a bit. I still have a whole mess of CFLs that I will use when neccessary, but primarily I use a T5 Flouro hood inside a HomeBox XS. Right now they're just getting water with some superthrive and are in soil. In another week or 2 I'll start them on Fox Farm Nutes. Right now they're all in soil, eventually one plant will be put into a WaterFarm and at least one into a Hempy Bucket.

I'll try to update reguarly, but can't make any promises. At the very least I will be updating at least once a week. For now, here are some pix. Please comment often.

Default Waterfarm

I've just gone and transplaned my weed plant into a waterfarm system. I'm a bit apprehensive. This is the first time I've used this system and this is my only marijana plant. I'm just worried something's going to go wrong and I'll lose this plant. But hey, I'm a bit of a stoner, I'm supposed to be paranoid. Anyways, here's some pics. Questions, Comments, Suggestions, please post.

Today is the end of the 4th week for my Tasty Wheat. Everything in the homebox seems to be doing really well. She seems to have taken very well to being transplanted into the waterfarm. Right now I'm just taking a break from homework. When I get back from class tonight I'll put up some new pics.

So I've already had my first problem with this grow. Here's a link to the new thread I posted asking what to do about it.

Yo wat up man. Sorry to hear about your first grow not goin so well. What dimensions is that HomeBox and how much was it? Be careful with those drip irrigation setups cause I've heard of the holes clogging because of the nutes so be up on ur cleaning or you will lose a plant. Not sure what that yellowing is but you should wait to give it nutes until it shows you it needs them.

The box is 23"x23" I want to say it's 36" tall, but I don't remember. It's a homebox XS. It was just over $100. You can buy them online or there are a few hydro shops that carry them.

How does a plant show you that it needs them?

I went down to NY last weekend. It was stupidly hot while I was there. Considering the plants were left here alone and this is a 3rd floor apartment, they didn't take it too well. When I came back they all had wilted, except for the basil. It didn't look too bad, I thought I'd be able to recover all of them except for the zucchini. Thankfully I was wrong. The zucchini hasn't fully recovered yet, but it's on its way.

On this trip though I did pick up over 30 new seeds. I started about 6 or 7 of them in some soil on monday, hopefully in another day or 2 I'll have some sisters for my Tasty Wheat.

The zucchini plants more or less made a complete recovery. I wouldn't say they were at 100% but they were close. I went and planted them outside in the garden earlier today. Hopefully they'll thrive out there and I'll eat me some oversized plant ovaries in a month or so.
