Hello all, going to give hydro a shot, I've grown soil a few times but all this is new to me.This a medical grow for myself and a couple other patients in need, any advice or comments are encouraged.

I am allowed 6 plants; 3 of which can be flowering.I have 2 closets each about 3x4x5 give or take.The vegging closet consists of the seedling in rockwool ATM and a small DWC unit, I also have a cloning station that I am going to use for a few cuttings for other medical growers when the time comes.I would have liked to use the cloner for the seedlings but could not find Rapid Rooters and had to use the rockwool.Lighting for now is a 4' shoplight, I will probably add another light, we'll see.

For the flowering room I have the GH Waterfarm, keep in mind I will be only flowering 3 plants at a time.For lighting I have a 400 watt MH . I know, I know....hopefully I can step it up to a 600hps on the next grow.

As I am new to this I will be using GH Flora Series only.

SEEDS!!! FEMINIZED** Crimea Blue, Trainwreck, and Violator Kush have been chosen...... here we go

June 30th Planted germinated seeds in rockwool. ph 6.0

July 2nd Trainwreck on the verge of sprouting.

July 4th Trainwreck sprouted, Crimea Blue on verge.

July 7th Crimea Blue sprouted, Violator Kush I can see wanting to sprout. I checked the ph of the water jug and it was at 7.2! Went and got distilled water and have the ph back at 6.0....I'll be checking the ph often now...hydro 101! still no roots coming out of the bottom of the cubes.... go easy on me 1st time!!!

correction the closets are actually taller than 5'....and hydroton as the medium

Ask FDD about that, i think he flower'd some with a mh.... and they turn'd out good... not sure if it was a mh bulb, but i remember reading something like that.. and i think its fdd that did it...

Emmm... looking good.... Are u gona veg those 3 plants for a real good amount of time ? or u just going to veg for about a month then put em in flower ?

If ya need help on anything pls ask... stupid of me talking in the blue about something u wont be able to need for ya grow lol..

i'll have to check for some mh flowering results, not IDEAL but will work for this grow. I'll humbly take what the plant gives, Right now an 1/8 is lasting me 2 weeks! come winter though I consume alot more medicine I'll veg them for up to a month---Tops---be posting new pics tonight, hopefully they have roots and can go in the dwc.....

If you have to just use one either MH or HPS, I'd get the HPS instead. MH is better for veg, but is not great for flowering due to spectrum differences that would take too long to 'splain now. HPS on the other hand, is optimal for flowering, but emits light in the spectrum needed for veg growth as well.

If you have no other choice then to grow and flower with MH, you may want to consider adding some CFLs to add some range to the light spectrum. They're cheap, energy efficient, and run cool.
