i've been here too long to not have a grow journal, so i decided to start one for this grow... these are all f1's of my first cross (bagseed/bagseed) so they dont have a name yet, i'll give it one when it finishes. six plants for now under a 400w mh. recently potted into a homebrew blend of "showscape" potting soil, some dirt out of an old chicken coop (had wonderful results with this by itself), a little cow manure, and some dolomitic lime. fed with earthjuice products; cant say how often, cause they've only gotten one dose. will try to keep this updated every 2-3 days.

not much to report here; just growin....here's a pic from this morning (disregard the date on camera

) can anyone point me in the right direction as to what is causing the slight yellowing of the new growth??

Looking good keep it up! I have no advice about the yellowing, I would check out the plant hospital section.

still having some trouble from those pesky whiteflies....anyone know how to get rid of the damn things??? also, when i watered tonight, it appeared that the water chased a shitload of lil white/clearish bugs out of the drainage holes...wtf??? someone help out....

Do you see whitefly eggs on the underside of your leaves? This can cause the yellowing you are concerned about. I would think a spray with insecticidal soap or neem would take care of them. Your plants are young enough that it should be easy to eradicate the entire population. About the other things inside your pots I would say you shouldn't keep those on the ground in what looks like a nasty basement corner. I have a nasty basement too (think Silence of the Lambs) and I keep my plants in long shallow rubbermaid containers, keeps the critters away.

Anyhow, your plants look good and it looks like you are doing everything right. Good luck!

i have been smashing thier eggs, with a twice a day inspection to keep them at bay....the sprays didnt seem to completely erradicate them.....as far as the "nasty basement"....i kinda had a feeling that the dirtyness would be one of my main problems...thats a spare bedroom w/no carpe; not a basement

...thats just a messy grower... my wife has been on my ass to clean it up, so she should be more than happy to do some spring cleaning in the grow room with me. i'm gonna have to get me some neem oil; seems no bug/pests like it... thanks man

edit* i dont think that the few whitefly eggs i am finding on the plants are what is causing my yellowing....it is only on the newest growth, whereas the eggs have only been on the old small leaves near the bottom of the plant; i am thinking it is an immobile nute defficiency...(which one???) or possibly a small ph problem, as last time i watered i forgot to ph the damn nute water, and i am using earth juice, which seems to drop the ph fairly low....i just fed/watered them again last night and did ph the solution, so if it starts to clear up, i suppose it was a slight ph fluctuation.

Ever thought of moving over to a hydro setup? I read there are fewer pest problems.... of course I am probably just trying to push my problems on you lol. Good luck!

tried hydro once....it failed miserably....transplanted the plants from hydro to good ole dirt and continued till harvest
