Hey folks,

In this grow I'll be starting 8 Blue Cheese plants from some feminized seeds care of Barneys Farm.

Now, for the setup Im going to need some feedback from you guys. I've gutted a large freezer and will be setting the grow up within it. I will have available about 12 cubic feet of space. This is taking into account the dimensions within the freezer I can work with which are : 3ft x 2ft x 2.7ft (L/W/D)

My biggest concern at this point is what light I should be using inside this freezer. Ideally I would like to use my current 430W HPS in there. Now I understand heat is going to be my biggest issue for sure, so Im going to buy a air cooled light tube or build one myself using a pyrex bake-a-round.

Does anyone see a problem with this size light being used? As I said I plan on housing the light within an air cooled tube and the freezer will also have a intake/exhaust fan of its own so the recycling of any left over ambient heat from the light should be taken care of as well. I could go with a 250W system or even T5/T8 , but I would love to use my 430W to save some cash.

Height is somewhat of an issue seeing as I've only got barely 3ft to work with overall. But I think this can be handled through the SOG method and also a little bit of LST intervention. I plant on using a DWC system to reduce the amount of height lost with planting pots/soil.

Anyways, Id love for you guys to toss some feedback my way on the things I've mentioned.

I will be taking some pics this weekend of the setup as its being built and this thing should be running plants in about a week or so.
