I am so intrigued by the Aerogarden grows. I would like to see completion and see if the buds are decent. If they are I will go aero garden with some 45w cfls and an air stone. I am looking forward to seeing how your grow works out. |

All the plants except for 1 Power Skunk have started to sprout. I used the "Small Nutes" the AeroGarden came with because I didnt have anything else at the time. However I did order some better nutes online. They are not Fox Farms, but I hope they will do. This is what the site said about them:
"General Hydroponics Flora Kit"
"We bet that if you try this nutrient system you and your plants will love it. Get all three required General Hydroponics Flora nutrients and experience what science has done for plant foods."
FloraGro NPK Formula: 2-1-6
FloraMicro NPK Formula: 5-0-1
FloraBloom NPK Formula: 0-5-4
they should arrive within the next 2 days. So I'll drain the AerGarden and refill and start using them ASAP.

I have two, UVB 10 Fluorescent 26 Watt Reptile Lights. If I hook those up to the timer along with the AeroGarden lights would this help? or are UVB Fluorescent lights bad for my stuff??

I wouldnt use the reptile lights as they will put off heat, the flora nutes you ordered are good additives but not enough, i use a dry nute from OpenDNS hydro 20-6-16 for vegging and 0-50-30 for blooming. although i grew some lowryder 2's in my aerogarden and used the aerogarden tabs for vegging it worked fine. |

Yeah dont use the heated lights try to get soft white cfls 45 watts..how many of the pods are you using to grow? if all of them i would suggest like 4 cfls around the aerogarden. And for choosing when to go 12/12 you have to see if the plant has enough nodes to satisfy your needs for the amount of bud you want. So yeah with me it took longer than normal with th eaerogarden cuz i used the wrong nutes but yours seem to be okay. LISTEN - GET A PH TESTER..you can get the crappy strips from any garden store or maybe even a hardware store. Put up some pics once they start to grow so we can assess what's going on with your plants. Good luck and keep me posted! |

What should I keep the PH at? and how often should i check it?. The reptile lights arnt "heat lamps" they provide hardly any heat because they are only 26 Watt spiral Fluorecents. Also the room I have the AeroGareden in stays at about 65 Degrees so its pretty cool. I was just wondering will the UVB rays do harm to the plants? Dosnt the actual sun release UVB rays?

Here they are! There not much yet, but it still makes me happy -LOL
The far left/front is the Fem. Violator Kush, and the far right/front is the Fem. White Widow. They were the first to sprout but now there the slowest to open up there leaves. The seeds from them are still kinda pinching the leaves together, and the Kush had a little problem rooting itself into the foam but I fixed that this evening all the rest are Power Skunk.
