First grow in closet

The clones are now in pots under their own 45 w daylight cfl and my main mature plant is now on 12/12 under the 105 w coolwhite cfl and growing...

The clones leaves started to droop and looked like they needed to have the rock wall in a better medium for temp and moisture control. So even though they didn't have roots showing, 2 days ago I put them into small pots to help keep them at a good temperature and to better regulate moisture content. I mist them a couple of times a day and might give a little water when the mix starts to feel a little dry and they look and feel healthy (leaves are still a little droopy from before potting).

The clones need minimal light to begin with.
How close is this 45w cfl to the clones?

The light is between 8" - 10" away and they have been under light since cutting 9 days ago.

Hey man ya we are kinda neck to neck. So you have 1 female? Also did you see roots coming out of the rock wool before potting it? Clones look good ...

No I didn't wait to see roots because I felt that they needed to be in a better medium by 7 days as it was really hard to maintain moisture and temp evenly with just the cubes which is why I plonked (carefully placed) them into pots with mix and have them under 24 hrs of 45 w daylight cfl in their own space. The light helps keep the temp around 24 c, otherwise it would drop too far, until they are established and stabilized which I don't think they are yet, and being cfl they don't dry out, but I do mist them a couple of times a day.

I tend to take what I read and then adapt it to my situation using the basic formulae with a dash of gut instinct thrown in for good measure... doesn't always work but it does most of the time and yes there are only females in this flat - me and my plants

lol cool I'm not even that careful with temp, but my clones look good... how do you feel about vegging under flouros or cfls?

Hey there Dopeman, yeah cfls'. Well this is my first grow ever so I wouldn't know how they would go wiht other lighting, but I am really happy with my plant so far. I think anything less than 105 watt cfl's for canopy lighting is a waste of time because they don't have the penetration like the 105 has through the leaves. Plus she is very healthy and so short at 11" still and so bushy and takes up almost my whole grow space width wise with plenty of hight room left to grow.

As for flowering under cfls' then watch this space. If all goes well then I plan to cure the buds with the water curing method the Videoman has posted Curing Your Buds


Just got a timer for the clones so now have them under 18/6 light.

Just checked out your grow journal, so how are your clones, any pics?
