And so it begins...
After months of research, I finally get to start my own grow. I ask a lot of questions so please bear with me.

Here is my set-up:
400W MH/HPS switchable ballast
basic winged reflector
MicroGarden 6/8 site Top drip/ebb and flow hydro system ~14"x30"
TriFlex Nutes
many fans
Standard digital thermometer/humidity gauge
pH meter
3* 24w CFLs for the seedlings
humidome thingy for seedlings
too many timers

there will be more to come with more $. My main concern right now it ventilation. i wanna get a ventilated reflector with in-lines.

Right now I am germinating a whole shit-ton of bag seed. I have had a really good germ rate so far. i switched to the CFL's because the MH was creating way too much heat for now. Everything is very much a mess right now but I am going to formally set the room up this weekend.

pics are at day 2... i think they are looking really good- its crazy how fast they grow!

more to come soon!

ok so it been about 14 hours since my first post and there is a whole lot of change. Almost all my seelings are fully sprouted with some really promising ones. i removed the dome so the lights could get closer. it really hasnt affected the humidity. here are some pics.

the one with my finger in it is the tallest, oldest, and ugliest. I dont know whats wrong with the leaves but the rest look good.

Ok so they kids are looking great. I have my first separate internode on a few of em. I switched to MH today from my CFLs cause i didnt like the stretching, but i dont think it helped much. Its getting real hot tho... im kinda worried about that. Im gonna get some ventilation stuff but that shits expensive. here are some pics...

5 Days, 4 on CFLs and this last on 400w MH

oh and the six cups are just some soil experiments.

Ok 200 more bucks and i think im pretty set for a good while...
I got some poly up, they hydo system set up, and a new sun system ventilation reflector, ducting, and a squirrel-cage fan. The fan is about 180cfms and the reflector is awesome. I exhausted into the wall which is sub-optimal but its all I could do.

Above the MH on the shelf i put in 6 CLFs to grow the seedlings and maybe some other Veg for later. I sealed that all off with some more poly and come velcro. everything is looking great.

The squirrel fan is hanging with a bungee and some duct tape which is pretty ghetto but its really really quiet.

I cant really figure out how to put pictures in here instead of attaching them... but here are the pics

Day 13 from seed:
The kids are looking really good. The cooling system, seedling farm, and hydro system are all running perfectly. My fastest growers are obviously the 5 in the hydro (ran out of clay). The soil kids are looking really healthy but slower, they also started a few days later. The seedlings under the CFLs got a little burned cause im an idiot and didnt listen to people but they are making a strong recovery and some are looking really good.

The first set of leaves is a little damaged from being under the cfls but the new growth looks great.

I have 8 in the hydro under the 400W MH and 6 in soil under the MH also. I have the rest of the smaller seedlings under the 6 CFLs under 24 hours light- but they are looking pretty sad... i dont really need them anymore so i think im gonna scrap them.

DWR- you dont wanna clone these lil'babes... they are too young- not to mention they are just bag seed... thanks for keeping posted tho.

PS - They are growing fast!!!! they are already way bigger than the last post!

Things are going great. Some of the new transplants are really starting to perk up and their shitty leaves are being replaced with pretty new ones. The soil plants are growing really well also and will be ready for transplanting soon.

My comp is fucked up and wont let me load all my pics... but heres the hydro kids...

yeah im excited with my results so far. i dont know why i cant post my pics but i was wondering when the best time would be to transfer my soil plants. they are about the size of my smaller hydro plants in 16oz cups. any thoughts?

Sorry i havent posted in a while i had computer issues. Well i lost a kid to a nasty spill she had... I am going to turn off the lights this weekend and force flowering. Im not really sure what is going to happen to the soil plants since they are a bit smaller... but i think they will be ok. I added 7 CFLs for side light.

Those are lavender and rosemary- helps with the smell a bit. not much tho- thought id give it a shot.
