Honkeytown's Grow Journal

Well...I have been told I should start a grow journal so here goes.

I started my first indoor grow in February of 08. When it began all I had for lighting two fluorescent 4' tubes...then I soon added 8 more tubes. I have since only been using a few of the fixtures in addition to the 150 watt hps I bought about three weeks in I think. I bought the 150 watt from Lowes for the convenience factor...i spent I think 100 bucks on it. a few days ago I bought a 600 watt hps light and have it over the girls now. I started my first indoor grow with 11 plants and only got 3 females out of the bunch. This run is more for figuring out what all I will need and how I am gonna do my perpetual harvest setup....so far I would say it is going very well. I live in a really hot place so it is hard to get great harvests outdoors here...but that should all be a problem of the past soon. I will get my pics from the first run in chronological order and throw them up for you all to see in a day or two..but for now...here is what I have going at the moment...just so you have something to gander at and see what kinda setup I am working with thus far. Thanks for stopping by everyone. :blsmoke::peace:

Those look awesome! Where's the one you're about to cut? Is that the orange crush? Is it a sativa?

I am the bat of many questions, prepare yourself!

the orange crush is in the small pots. the three trees you see are the bagseed. the one that is getting cut is in the middle of the closet...single cola sativa...yes

well i harvested my single cola plant today...I shed one tear. but it turned out quite nice for living it's life under a 150 watt hps. I vegged this girl for two months. she was a hermie when she started sexing so I cut off the lower branches that were male and took off the seed pods or whatever. she ended up staying female for me all the way through. no seeds in this bud. I flowered this plant....hmm looking back she went 72 to 78 days flowering...she started flowering outside when I wasn't watching her too well. obviously a sativa...and I could have let her go another two weeks but I am honestly more concerned with the other two still goin. anyway all said and done...trimmed up with the main stalk as you see in the pics i have a wet weight of 74 grams so. not too bad. I will get back with a dry weight in a few days. here are the pics:mrgreen:

I am gonna start to germ the connies tomorrow morning and the clone obviously are alreradt in water and rooting solution. I will give the clones a better setup tomorrow but I am too tired to deal with all of that right now...so....to tomorrow morning. :blsmoke:

well....i have decided that I just have to get me some trainwreck. I just have to. I have my flowering room set up for 750 watts of hps right now...600 from the top and 150 from the side. it is 80 to 83 degrees with the lights on....and I really dont give a shit when the light are off cause I know the temps are fine then....high seventies. so I got some clones of some shit I got connies I got orange crush....now I need some trainwreck......anybody? anybody at all?:blsmoke:

Looking good Honkytown, what medium are you using.
I have some rockwool cubes and clonex. I was going to use those, I have the same thing, heat pad from my tortoise vivarium, but will be using the glass tank with some cling film over the top, a 2ft 20w fluro and the old faithful spray bottle for misting.

I am about to split my room into two this week so I can seperate my flowering and vegging op's. Keep looking in and see how i get on.

THX BMad....I am a dirt grower....for my clones I am using tap water with about a tspn of root stimulator that is 2-5-2....and I dipped the tips in Green Light rooting hormone last night...already seeing root bumps. once I see a half inch of roots they are goin in some really wet soil and I am gonna let it dry out completely before I water them again with some nutes. your method sounds more sound...but I was unprepared for these clones...kinda unexpectedly picked em up from a friend of mine. I plan on making a bubble cloner soon but I have some big projects with work to finish up before I can focus cash on growing again....somehow though I always seem to find deals I cant refuse and spend money I shouldn't be spending on it...lol...damn addiction I tell ya to grow bigger and better buds. As far as your room goes I will be watching. My situation just changed a little and I have my master bath available again to grow in....long story short I let an ex move in to help her out and now she is gone...YAY. but I will be setting up the whole room for perpetual. I will be starting a new grow journal tomorrow for the clones and some conquistadors I have germinating right now and I am gonna move my setup tomorrow...so keep your eyes open for that one as well. :blsmoke:
