BCst1ckyGr33n's 2nd Grow - First Hydro DWC SCROG

Hi everybody. I'm back this time with a few upgrades and changes to my setup. Last grow I had setup a CFL Veg. / HPS flower in soil (Promix: Organic). The grow went extremely well for my first time and I managed to yield 5.5 oz (bone dry) off of 4 - 2' plants. This time I'm aiming high and trying to achieve 1 pound.

The route I'm going this time, is a simple DWC SCROG setup:

4 - 5 gallon Square Buckets
2 - 802 Elite Air Pumps
4 - 4" Air Stones
/ - Botanicare Pure Blend Pro (Grow)
/ - Botanicare Pure Blend Pro (Bloom)
/ - Botanicare Pure Blend (Meta additives)
1 - 400w HM (Veg)
1 - 400w HPS (Flower)
/ - R/O Water
/ - BC God Bud Strain

Any input as to how i can meet my mark at 1 pound would be much appreciated. I dunno if i can even do it but I would like to try. If you know of any tips or tricks that might help me on my mission, by all means leave a message.

I plan on topping these guys 3 or 4 times and vegg'in for at least a month and a half or more. I do not plan on using CO2 however if enough is said about it, I will try to find a cheap solution. I never had any temperature problems in the past, usually stays around 80 degrees. I have air coming direct from a cool shady spot from outside.

Finally I've found a way these seeds like to be germinated. They seem to respond well to this long weekends hot weather. There popp'in in under 24 hrs. So far I've got 3 just, waiting on the 4th. Over the weekend I also got a good deal of some scrap parts at my local hydro shop. Ended up buying new fans, carbon filter for my greenhouse, a nice kool tube, and other nick naks.
Just finished modifying the kool tube and my grow cabinet and it really seems to be keeping the temps down. Check'em!

Alright, everything is up and growing now. The only setback and lesson I learned is not to order from BCBudDepot. They gave me like 18 seeds and only 3 ever germinated. RIP OFF! Any who, I've got them on a dose of 650 ppm at week 2 of veg. They seemed to be doing good. Im gonna up the dose to 800 - 900 this water change and see how they do.

I am having a PH fluctuation from 5.3 to sometimes 6.2? Is this normal or is there a way i can buffer the water? From what I've read, Im try'in to keep it between 5.3 and 5.6.

Other then that, how are they looking? any suggestions?

Okay well I took a few measurements today and built myself a screen for my green. As well i have few other upgrades to the exhaust system to do. My running temps are about 79 - 85 during the day, it really depends on the weather outside (house has no A/C). Night temps are about 66 - 72. The plants as well have been topped twice now.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Alright here it is installed, just waiting to pickup a mini wall mounted honey-well fan, and setup new ducting with a sock.

And yes the first grow was a small 4 plant SOG id guess you'd say. Originally i was suppose to SCROG but just forgot... lol, I averaged about 1.5 oz per 2' plant.

Nice lookin grow so far man. That sucks about the germ rate! N thx for the heads up about it. Good luck with your goals for this grow I'm sure it is quite reachable.
I cant wait to see this screen just protruding with fat nuggets.

Okay well the screen is starting to fill now. And I've just bought a smaller fan cause that 12" on its side was taking up too much space. The PPM's at @ 1200 and PH is at 5.3 - 5.8. Temps are running at 75 - 82.

How tall should i lets them grow before i tuck or tie back down to screen?

okay the plants are acting weird underneath the canopy. Everyday I'm pulling off hand fulls of yellow leaves. Is this normal or are they maybe not getting enough nutes or what! other then that im gonna wait until the screen is 80% full before i switch to flower cycle.

PS. Should i start to lollipop the lower stocks or would this be too much over kill?
