its been awhile since i started a grow, but am back and growing woowhoo!
i used to grow in a fairly large cab but decided to change that and make it as stealthy as i possible could. i had to use the materials that i already had to make this cab, and small and stealthy was my goal.
there are still a few kinks that need to be ironed out but nothing major........the heat and noise of the cab were the major issues to take care of .
i used a 4in shower room fan to start with to cool my 400w hps but it was to noisey for me, it did cool the cab well, but the noise was to much so i got to thinking and ended up using a 12v pc fan to cool the lamp..........and yep it worked even on the hot days, mind you its not the only fan i use to cool my lamp, i also use the oscilating fan to which i pinned the other end of the ducting too, which helps to cool the lamp, aswell as moving the air around the cab.
ok lets get down to the growing method am using, its a small homemade ebb&flow hydro system, its a easy system to put together and didnt cost me more then $30 to make. the res is a 32ltr plastic tub and the flood tray is made from a gravel tray.
i two strains which i have just germed they are blue cheese and white widow, i have a plan set for this grow due to the height and other aspects of the cab, i intent to veg the plants for nomore then 3 weeks. at the two week mark or 3-4 nodes high am going to top the plants then let them recover for the last week, then in to 12/12.
pls feel free to comment

yeah, man..... they sure will do the trick for you.....
Wow nice stealthy you got there! I bet a 400w is going to blow that box up. I was curious, with your cooltube what are the ambient/inside running temps?

i wondered when i`d get asked that lol, the air temps in the cab are around the 76f-80f mark. i left the cab running for 18hrs on the hottest of the uk summer so far, it was 86f outside and not much cooler in the room. the room temp that the cab is in rarely gets hotter then 80f, and can be as cold as 64f during winter.
the key to my cab is that the back of the cab is open, but covered with blackout plastic to stop the light leaks.
heres a couple of pics the 1st being the temps and the 2nd just the setup with the lamp on.(ignore the tray thats gone lol)
