the LR2 is looking really good morp! so what is the final height of the plant btw? because it looks like youve got a lot on there

okay, the lr2 has been chopped. ive left a couple of lower branches on for a bit more maturation.

yield was 85g wet, so i guesstimate around 20g dry. not the oz i was hoping for, but theres still those lower branches budding away!

time for some pics. it took me about an hour and a half to trim, during which time my scissors got got very sticky. i wiped some onto a rizla and made a joint, which was nice. im gonna hot knife the rest of the residue after writing this..

anyways, pictures.
1st is what i cut off while reading the jobbies,
2nd is the main cola,
3rd is them hanging up
4th are the remains...

my thai lady is going to have to get the chop premature.. i move out of this house on the 7/7/07 so im going to have to give her the chop at 10 1/2 weeks. she's not going to be ready...

I had to do the same recently...i feel for you man it sucks big time. 1 and a half weeks premature mine was.

i have no idea how premature thisll be, but i reckon at least 4 weeks... seems to be taking forever to bulk up. how did yours turn out? at least ill get some smoke from her...

right. the exciting part.

i checked the buds today and weighed them. the stems snapped when i tried, so this indicates to me that theyre now dry enough to stick in the curing jars. the main cola which had previously weighed 42.8g now weighs 12g. estimating a weight loss of 75%, i had expected this bud to weigh more like 10.7g, so maybe it is not entirely dry...

anyways, the dry weight of the buds id chopped is 24g, so a bit less than an ounce. i estimate ill get a further 3g or so from the remaining branches, so about an ounce all in all. im happy with that!

pic 3 are my trimmings. i only kept the leaves which had visually lots of thc. some of these i may have clipped a little too close to the buds...

i know its not cured yet, but i thought id smoke a couple of joints now to compare to the post-cure bud...

grinding the bud shows that it is not completely dry and crumbly, but still perfectly smokeable. just means ill have to be vigilant on my burping..

buds i smoked tasted very sweet and spicy, and suprisingly smooth. passed one around and a friend commented on the taste, not realising it was the 'homegrown', and asked who i got it from (made me happy).

strength is good. i only rolled .3 joints because i want to cure the rest properly, but it is definately more potent than the majority of stuff id buy. not a terribly couch lock effect, just a nice high, tasty buzz..

ill wait a week or so and give a wake and bake report maybe...

edit: pictured bud weighs 4.9g dry

for those of you interested, my thai lady is still in flowering. i have been advised to cut the light hours down to 14/10 rather than 12/12 to speed the process a little, so that is what ive done. hopefully this will allow at least a little more maturation before her untimely execution...
