Well my OG Kush mother plant died.
I had a pretty bad spider mite/gnat infestation and it killed the clones amazingly quick but the mother plant held on tell now. I can no longer get OG clones from my original source (personal drama) so I'm gonna have to use some seeds and start a new mother.

Seed Info:
The seeds are OG Kush x Penis Maximus,

OG kush smells of pine/lemon/heaven and has a slightly less than average yield but amazing potency. The buds are tight and dense with bright orange hairs and of course extremely crystallized. The high is a slight head high but mostly body and is probably the strongest weed I have ever smoked. Og is definitely a sativa judging by its leafs, but the buds form like an indica and the high seems indica unless its such a powerful head high it couch locks you lol.

Penis smelled like a really sweet fruit, almost like pineapple or something. I haven't smoked any for a while so smell is kinda hard to remember lol. It has a higher than average yield and its probably top 3 on potency of what I've smoked. What I LOVE about it is the taste, very sweet and strong but not very harsh and a powerful head high. Similar high to white widow but more energetic, almost the opposite of OG's sleepy hit you like a train, couch lock. So the seeds will be interesting.

Set Up:

6 x 26 watt CFLs totally 9600 lumens
The grow box is 3.12 square feet, Ive been meaning to get mylar but have settled for a couple windshield reflectors tell I have a chance to go to the grow shop. Theres also a big ass oscillating fan in the back that works very well.

Current Going Ons:
I have 17 seeds germinating at the moment and 15 peat pellet wet, expanded, and awaiting seeds. I figure a couple seeds will be duds like usual. After a few days I will either transplant them into dixie cups to grow a bit more first or put them straight to one gallon pots. Only 9 pots will fit in the growbox (already in there under the tray btw lol) so all the weak ones will have to die . But thats further down the road lets hope all goes well tell then at least.

5 seeds have germinated so far and are in their peat pellets. The rest seem to be taking longer than usual but they still have lots of time. Im probably going to mark the 5 that germinated first and I'll also mark the one with the longest root of the 5. Dont ask me why I'm doing this, I'm stoned and it sounds like a good idea. Maybe it will help me establish some favorites to make the cut down to 9 easier.

Well 11 of the seeds have germinated but 6 still haven't cracked yet. The seed that had the longest root has already shed its shell and is emerging but the rest aren't quite as far. I have a dome over them right now for humidity but Im going to take that off once they sprout. I'm starting to think the 6 seeds that haven't germinated are duds but I'll give them another day or 2.

The seeds that didn't germinate yet still haven't but all but 4 seeds have sproute. Two of them were growing downward into the soil and two have yet to shed the shell. I took the dome off today and will probably leave it off. I only have 2 of the 6 bulbs on right now as a precaution, when should I let the light hit them full force?

The 2 with the seeds still on them failed to sprout correctly and are basically dead. The peat pellets dried out very quickly last night and since I was already down to 9 seedlings I transplanted them all into 1 gallon containers. The center diamond are my four favorites. The best one is still that same seed, which seems about a day ahead the rest. Ive put all of my light bulbs back in so they are getting full light right now.

Well I'm not going to be updating every day anymore, I want there to be some noticeable difference between the pics. Btw everyone should feel free to post in the thread, i dont really care about that sort of thing. Any suggestions/questions would be appreciated.

Well right now I'm growing in my closet and Id like to use an area about 2' by 2' for flowering. I was going to barrow a relatives 400 watt hps but I think this would be over kill for such a small area. Im probably going to buy a 250 watt or a 100 watt hps to use for flowering. Which would be the better bet? I read that a 100 watter is sufficient to grow in a 2x2 space but that doesn't seem like enough to me. I''d really prefer to get the 250 watt. What are your opinions o' great grow gurus of the board?

i would use the 400 watt, but for a small area you will need good exhaust for the space, or a cooled hood for the light, but you will get way better results, it will be worth it, 400 watt lights really don't get to hot anyways....make sure to set the ballast outside of the closet to help keep temps down..i used one in a 2'x3' closet once and didn't even use and exhaust system, that's the cool thing about closet grows, just left the door open when the lights were on, and it was good to go..
