First Midwest Guerilla Grow

Me and my best friend are planning on ultimately growing 15-30 bag seed

female plants. We have pleanty of seeds and can decide on the ammount

when the time comes. We gave the seeds their start in the back of his

trunk with a paper towel and a healthy amount of water. The first batch

grew perfectly and have been transfered into small pots and put into

groups of four with the exception of a few new growing seedlings. These

plants are four days old and 10 out of 25 have sprouted from the soil thus

far. More seeds are still in the trunk waiting to germinate. The spot is

perfect, real remote and hidden from sight in the woods. The spot is

surrounded by briar patches and the only opening is covered by a very

large tree branch with fishing line all around it to ward off deer and small

rodents. They recieve an abundant ammount of sunlight and rain through

a clearing in the canopy. We are still searching but havnt found a spot to

transfer the plants when they reach about 4 weeks old. When the time

comes to transfer, we are going to purchase multiple bags of fox farm

ocean forest soil as we had previously bought for our seedlings.

All advice and opinions are welcome and greatly appreciated.

This is where my questions come into play...

The 5 gallon pots that we have looked at to transfer the 5 week old

plants into are pretty expensive. To cut costs, would it be more benificial

to put thick garbage bags in the ground? We will definitely double the

lining of trash bags if needed. Also... if any, how big should the holes be in

the garbage bags to help drainage?

I just found my digital camera so i will be uploading pictures asap.

And so it begins...

Sorry about not having any updates lately:-|. Ive been visiting family

members in Baltimore for the last few days. While i was gone my friend

kept good watch over the plants. We got a fuck ton of rain which was

pretty scary. Oh, and a tornado warning haha. One day he came out and

6 of the 25 were tipped over. He put dirt back in and replanted new

sprouts because the plants had been missing. The setup is fuckin

awesome though so i have no idea what got in there. Our suspicions are

leaning towards a small rodent of some type and burried into a few of our

pots. Bastard. Sorry about the delay on photos. Here are a few of them.

Photo 1: Here is our sweet ass setup. After planting new seedlings we

have germinated, we have a total of 28.

Photo 2: Heres a closer look at our plants. 18 of the 28 have sprouted.

Photo 3: A closer view of the pots in our "group 1" and seem to be

growing the best with the exception of a few newer seedlings that havnt

reached above soil yet.

Photo 4: Group number 2 and a loner in the back.

Photo 5: Mostly below soil seedlings waiting to sprout.

Photo 6: Best 4 plants :hump:

Photo 7: Healthiest looking plant so far.:hump::hump:

Photo 8: We had a question about this one. From the beginning this

seedling has sprouted on the side of the pot. We honestly didnt think it

was going to live much longer after it grew above soil. The wierd thing is

that its one of the better looking sprouts. Will it be fine or do you think we

will maybe lose it?

I'm hoping these get a little stronger and start growing like wildfire for you! Seems a few might be having some trouble there with stretching and the likes..

if i were you id use mousetraps to avoid the squirrels. about the whole holes in the trash bags question, i have no idea since i use the 5 gallon pots. it costs a lot but in the long run i think its easier. you have the ability to move them incase of emergencies. i understand that you dont want to spend all of that money on your first grow though.

When going to your garden take a pair of Binoculars, some bird or butterfly watching charts and the biggest is take two cards for your camera get some pics of birds and butterflys. Keep that card in the camera. If you take garden pics hide that card in your back pack.
