First grow with CFL's

Hello everyone, I have my first personal plant on the go and was wondering what your opinions are on my situation.
Situation:
I started off germinating a seed on May 3rd and then planted it in the soil on May 7th. I put the flower pot beside the balcony window all day, from the 7th to the 15th it grew 4.5" and was very skinny with only the original pettles and the one single set of jagged leaves (plany was Stretching). I then transplanted it into a much bigger pot and burried 3/4 of the stem leaving aprox 1.5" exposed and moved this to my closet which is 27" deep x 57" lenght X 9' tall but the hanger rack is aprox 5' tall. On May 16th I installed 2 * 42W CFL's, one 2700K & one 6700K each emitting 2600 lumens and one 23W CFL 6700K 1600 lumens which are 2.5" above the plant 24hrs a day. I have also made a CO2 dispenser from a 2L bottle with some suger, water and yeast in it with a tube running from the bottle to the stock of the plant. The temperature has ranged from 79F at night to 85F at day but recently is ranging from 80F to 88F. Since May 16 until today May 26 it has grown to 5" tall, 9" wide and has roughly 6 layers of stems (12 all together) that are situated very closley together. The plant looks very healthy but I was wondering if I would be better off raising the lights higher to streatch it out or should I leave it like this and keep it small and bushy?? I also hope to take 2 clones within another two weeks and hope for one to survive and then have a cycle by having one always in flower mode. My other Question would be if I'm better off putting the main plant into flower now untill it has been sexed and then put back into Vegg mode or should I just put the main plant into flower after letting it grow for what would be 7 weeks of the vegg stage?
