  • How is everyone, thought I would start a grow journal, It won't be very active, although it will be as active as possible under the circumstances,
I live in Australia and it's just gone summer here and I have a few that are about 7 weeks old and a few about a week old. So the photo of the seedlings on the blue table is current and there is 2 sour diesel 2 sensi kush and 1 purple widow
and the 3 in the post is just progress shots of 3 random bag seed over the past 3 weeks, will be updating again soon because these 3 are now in the ground and loving it. I am growing in miracle gro, blood and bone, a dynamic lifter, bat guano in the water and some peat moss, all tips would be appreciated

few pics here, will be posting more probably weekly

Sweet mate looking good! Hopefully the hot weather stays with us for a bit so you can get some decent growth before they start to flower. All my outdoorys got nailed by late frosts in November so they stunted pretty bad :(

Late frost in November? That is real strange, yeah I am hoping it stays good weather and they don't start flowering yet, they are about 2ft tall atm and some of the leaves on one of them have gone burnt spotty and crispy,
I have narrowed it down to a few things, calcium or zinc deficiency, wrong ph or overnute at best, ill upload photos in a couple of days trying to fix the problem first just by giving it a straight flush of 6.0ph water for a few days

Can anyone maybe suggest what the problem might be on the right? I have looked on this site and think I have narrowed it down to either a bit off ph or over fert?
the photos on the bottom are the same just sideways

Looks to me like it was over ferts and the tips have just gone crispy and broken off. pH shouldnt be too much of an issue in soil though unless the soil is crazy alkaline...
They look fine otherwise dude :)

And yeah the frosts in november were very unusual, we even had temps as low as 1 and 2 in early december, completely stuffed up my outdoorys this year :(

Thanks heaps for the feedback eastcoastmo, yeah I'm pretty sure that would be it, have had a bit of rain lately so hope when I go back to the site next
the problem is gone for all the new shoots :)

I have been using blood and bone, a dynamic lefter and bat guano, maybe i need to use the guano about 1/2 strength

Good news went out to the spot today, they have fixed themselves right up have had 2 rainy days and about 4 sunny days the past 6 days so they loved it and are looking very healthy again,
didn't bring a camera so I couldn't take photos today but I will post a photo in about 2 days because I am going to head back there and give them a feed, when I post the photo would love any tips or something on how I can get them going faster and bigger,
feeding full strength bat guano every week or 2 and that may have been why the leaves shriveled up in the first place, so might do a half or 3/4 feed next time, will post in a few days!

P.S. at first I thought they may have been planted to close but they are 40Cm apart at the stem, that's definitely enough right?

So went out to the spot today, plants are doing nicely except my fears have been realized, there is either a kangaroo or a wombat maybe even a possum causing a bit of trouble for my left hand girl,
which ain't cool, also there was a few bites around on the leaves either from slugs or some other pests so sprayed a lot of pest spray, going to head back there in only like 3 days so i can build a fence

@lickalotapus funny you should say that hahaha went out there today and yep

Man they're taking off hey, getting big! They are going to end up pretty big once they're done stretching :)

As for promoting new growth, you just have to wait, it will grow back itself....id definitely look at chicken wire if its to keep animals away too!
Looking real good man, you should end up with some solid buds from them :D

Thanks mo, I really hope so haha, yeah the chicken wire is a must, will do that asap! wildlife is loving my poor plants,
here is a pic of the 5 seedlings i got still out the back, going strong one is a bit deformed but on the right all good though (the 2 smaller ones were planted 3 days after the other 3), I have learnt its best not to over nurture your plants though
3 days since the last photo, they are going out to a nice lovely area next week :)
