I started my first closet grow back in feb, just found this site this weekend, as 4 out of my 5 plants are showing female preflowers, but one stubbern plant is being shy as to what sex it is. Now from everything i've read males tend to preflower before females, so hoping the shy one is just a bashful female. I vegged for about 6 weeks and started 12/12 two weeks ago. I water only when the soil is dry and add shultz 10-17-10 every other water as not to burn them. I wanted to give a shout out to all the wonderful knowledge i've gained just in the few hours i've spent reading this forum. I'm still kind of sceptical about posting pictures as for security reasons. (dont want DEA or local pigs sniffing around). I started out with a crappy growlite flourescent tube from wally world, but after reading some e-books i realized my little girls were stretching something feirce so i forked over some bucks for an sunblaze 24 t5 reflector and bulbs, the stretching stopped. I dont have the space for a high heat HID lighting system so my t5 lights are as close to the tips without burning. All the seeds grown are out of the bag seeds so i have one really tall girl and the rest are about 6 to 8 inches shorter, is it too late to tie down now that flowering has started, also i havnt purned a thing, is it also too late to prune the bottem 4 to 6 inches? Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting development today when i checked on my girls. I noticed that one my plants pistols are turning a dark red, not wilting or dying just turning red from the inside out. Is this normal?

Well the shy one finely showed its colors today, female!!! Thats 5 plants from bag seed, all of them strikingly different from each other, all 5 female. I cant wait till harvest. A sampler pack of smoke. Hopefully each plant yeilds well. Pics to come of the flowering tops.
