Slightly less broke grow!

I've always grown from bagseed and used the poorman's shit such as miracle grow soil and ferts and CFLs. Well as of yesterday I upgraded my grow op a little. Just finished germinating 3 seeds at noon yesterday with one of the seeds about 24 hours behind the other 2. I planted them just after noon yesterday, and I woke up this morning to 2 sprouts (1 still has the seed on top of the stem). The 3rd plant probably hasn't sprouted with the others because like I said, it germinated a little later than the other 2.

My setup is as follows:

3x2x6ft closet with 3x2x2ft of shelf space above
Aluminum foil lining walls (flattened as much as possible)
3x Nirvana Misty seeds
Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil
Good ferts from the local hydro store (haven't decided which I want yet)
55w Fan blowing at half strength (till sprouts get a little sturdier)
6 CFLs all with reflector clamps(10800 lumens, mixed spectrums)(two 23w, one 29 watt, two 42w)(have room for 3 more)

I wouldnt trust my babies to foil, I'd loose it, paint the walls white or get mylar. Foil can create hot spots. I think you'd be better off without anything rather than using foil.

I've been using the same foil forever and never had any problems. I've also thought of this but until it causes a problem I'm not gonna fix it. Thanks for the advice though.

All 3 of my plants are growing fine. The late germinating seed ended up sprouting about 24 hours after the other 2 plants. They are all growing strongly and I can already tell how much healthier these plants are compared to miracle grow soil and bagseed. They are much more fuzzy (white hairs all over plant) than I am used to. All 3 of them are just starting their 3rd internode of leaves. I must say that I am expecting very good results because these are the strongest and fastest growing plants I've ever grown.

Hey Mu, what was the quality of the smoke from your earlier bag seed attempts? I am currently into my 3rd week of growing 7 bagseed plants (from some good regs) and they are really growing slowly, compared to the results I see on here.

I always used bagseed from good quality herb, way better than regs. To tell you the truth, my shit is usually always better than the herb that I got the seed from.

My camera is old and for some reason it won't send pictures to my computer anymore. So I won't have pictures until week 2. All 3 plants are growing fine but there is something weird happening to the late sprouter. It's growing at about the same rate as the other 2 plants, but the bigger leaves edges are curling up towards the light. They seem to still be healthy leaves, they just are deformed for some reason. Doesn't seem to be any kind of deficiency. Anyways, they are all getting fuzzier by the day, and the sprouts have a very strong smell compared to bagseed sprouts which smell very green and plantlike. As I said before, I'm very impressed with the quality of seeds.

PS. Have 3 42w red spec and 3 26w blue spec cfls now, totalling to 12900 lumens. (4300 lumens/plant)

The 2 strong plants both started growing their 6th node which I chopped off. I left the weaker plant alone and won't top it because it will definately need awhile to catch up.

There's definately something wrong with that plant. It's been given the exact same amounts of everything, but for some reason the sides of the leaves are curling up and inward. It isn't on the new growth, but it is slowly moving up the plant. I'd say it's heat stress but it's like 1" lower from the lights than the other plants and I know it isn't too hot. It's growth is severely stunted too. It's maybe 2/3 the size of the other plants in height and width, and it looks bad. The others are gorgeous though, dark green leaves, beautiful, no signs of strain.

If anyone has any idea of what the problem could be, let me know.
I'll try to find some way to get pics of them up to help diagnos.
