Ok well ill throw up some of the pics i have of my setup. As of now there is no plants in it but i have seeds germinating and i will post pictures every step of the way.
feel free to post critisism/advice/"smart people talk" please feel free to leave stupid sentences out and try to not post "more pics" "more info" untill the thread is fully set up
Day 1 : ok i planted 5 misty seeds( all came up ) also i planted some freebie seeds i got awile back its (Godbud/dreamweaver x arjans H x cinnamon x dW)
so its got some genetics in there... lets see if they come up well ive planted 3 of those and so far 1 is comming up. i also have one small plant that had most of its limbs cut off(after flower) and is back into veg... i believe it is speedqueen.
5 Misty
3 GodbudX
1 Speedqueen
i will leave them under a big 100w( really is 100 watter) cfl for about 6-7 days till all the seeds come up and get alittle height to them... then i will throw them under the mh(at distance)
i will ph my water (5.5-6.5)
at the moment i am alittle new to nutes. so i will wait till week 2 then try my hand at nutes(starting at 1/4 str) considering most of these guide's are ment for plants which use alot more nutes then cannabis so i will prolly sit it at 1/2 nutes through out the whole grow to play it safe
they are on 18/6 now(24/0 = not advised) and i will leave them veg (18/6) untill they get themselfs to about 1-1.5 Ft at that point i will (12/12) them hope fully i can get them to finish right around 3 ft and im looking for 1+ oz in 4 of the plants. these strains are indica dominant but suposedly have an 'up' high also have very short flowering time (60 days MAX ) so i will assume they will double in size and stop during flower due to the fact that they will start budding generally fast after the first 2 weeks of flower(unlike sativa's)
sorry about the pics. they were all taken on a camera phone. i may aquire a better camera later in the grow. but right now it doesnt matter all my plants are seedlings and im at 6/8 out of the soil
ok well since last post all ive had 2 plants not survive. one misty ( which came up fine) turned a dark dark green. then refused to grow or support itself... it just layed on the ground... no idea what happen but ive taken it out. also 1 Godbud seed did not come up(couldent crack its seed open) so now im down to 7 plants. 4 misty 2 godbud and 1 speedqueen(reveg)
all have been moved into bigger cups(to let there roots spread) befor i move them into there final pots
im gonna let the smaller ones catch up then stick them all under the 250w Mh light. i have room for about 4- 2 gal pots( with a good amount of space in between) so im going to stick the 4 most promising plants into the bigger pots and leave the other 3 in the smaller paper cups( which are a reasonable size)
that being said i have a few pics of the plants. as you can see some hit a growth spurt and some havent quite gotten there yet also the speedqueen reveg is showing some new growth
theres still 2 which havent caught there growth spurt one looks like its getting there.... but the other got caught in its seed woll sprouting and it got alittle yellow which may have stunted its growth a bit. the plant in the 7th pic is looking the best so far. i also have taken some pics of the floor space of were they will be flowering. as you see there are 4 pots, with a good amount of space in between so im gonna throw the 4 most promising in the big pots (take clones of the best plant of each strain and keep it as a mother) and leave the other 3 plants in small pots between the bigger ones
i will most likly flower the plants at 12-15 inches. and hope they finish around 2 ft( plant height, pot taken out of equation)
so far the reveg looks like its just getting started on making new foliage and it better start moving or its gonna get left behind dark temp in flower box is in last picture
plants are not under an MH, a few small problems but nothing that cant be fixed( small deficiency problem )
as always water around 6.2 ph ( 5.5-6.5)
they are now in a new grow box and the heat is a small issue. it has been running on the upper 80's. temps dark are around 70-72. temps with lights on slowly raise from 80-90 usually stabalize around 88 or so. right now the only fans are hooked up to the light. and i havent decided what type of fan im going to use yet( vent holes shown in picture) 4'' or so diameter
7 plants ( 1 for sure female 'the reveg' ) and 6 unknowns. i will begin nutes this week not sure on the details yet i will sex them in a week or 2 so i can pick out a mother( which will be kept in the same box, untill i start flowering, then the mother will be moved to a seperate area/trimmed woll the other plants flower ( hopefully i have a new batch of clones ready to flower by time the others are done )
first pic is the biggest plant( mother if female 'misty strain' )
second pic is the youngest sprout( i think alittle stunted )
third pic is of one of the average(lower leaves pale/thin)
fourth pic is average(lower leaves pale/thin)
fifth pic is average(lower leave deficiency)
sixth pic is reveg(new growth started)
seventh pic is bigest plant again( node shot from bottom)
eighth is temps/hum ( average for light on time)
ninth is the openings in the box ( 4'' hole or so )
tenth is just a pic of the MH
you are very thorough.... Looking good, sorry you lost some,.... Mine are just about the same size, just put in the lights, so they are growing bigger now. I didn't find the comment about the caffeine, but sorry.....
ok well i havent updated in alittle. ive got some new pics after transplant.
i used 1/2 str nutes on all the plants, befor the transplant. all the transplanted plants now have soil ph problems( due to shit soil) and have went through some flushing... and more in the future, so the nutes prolly washed out and wont get any more till ph is fixed
all plants are growin now( even the small stunted one) the ones with the deficiencys are alittle slower. as soon as i get the ph fixed i can begin sexing/flowering, because i wana make sure the plants are 100% going into flowering(hoping for alot of females) but i only need 4, worse comes to worse i can clone remaining plants and wait alittle longer( if i sex alot of males)
humidity is up because of all the flushing/excess water and heat is down because i got the ac on for summer, although i still will need another fan/carbon filter for flowering
ok
pic 1 is of one of the bigger plants in the 2 gal container now( no noticable deficiencys but soil ph is still alittle off i think(hopefully doest cause a problem))
pic 2 is of the biggest plant. or what was the biggest, now in a 1 gal container( to be put aside to become a mother( pale color throughout the whole plant(alittle worried about a big problem on this one, no idea why its being caused))
pic 3 is of one of the other bigger plants, not yet transplanted (shows small deficiency from erlier but its been fixed)
pic4 is one of the oter big plants 2 gal conainer(shows deficiencys in lower branches(soil ph is still off))
pic 5 shows small stunted sprout still in plastic cup, party size cup( prolly stunted from shit soil i was using, which caused me problems in all the plants)
pic 6 is of the last bigger plant, 2 gal container (deficiencys in lower leaves(ph in soil still off))
pic 7 is of the deficiency in the plant in pic 6
pic 8 is of the deficiency in plant in pic 4
pic 9 is of the reveg showing some new growth at a good rate(no deficiencys because is been in the same soil for awile(already fixed ph problem)
pic 10 is of a small second plant? ( i guess the root hit the surface and developed leaves)
pic 11 same thing on another plant
pic 12 group shot of the plants to give you some prespective on size
also i seem to have lost track of which plants are which....i know 4 are misty... 2 godbud...then 1 is speedqueen(which i know) but the misty/godbud are mixed up..
i will switch to hps in a week.. i will also list nutes/measurements next grow(prolly list the flowering ones) also i will get plant heights going into flower so i can compare how much they grew.
