Details about the grow
Light, 400 watt MH/HPS
Strains, 3-4 plants total, 2 veneno and 2 burmese kush
Growing medium, hempy 100% perlite
Nutes, GH 3 part flora series
Additives, to be determined
Training, scrog with some super cropping or possibly mainline.

Okay i just finished up my second grow so its time once again for the usual remodel, this time around i am planning on converting my flowering room into a veg/flowering room, not long ago i gutted an old dresser and turned it into a stealth veg cab, but it is not working very well due to issues of space, heat and convenience, so the plan is to convert my flowering room which has a lot of wasted vertical space into a veg/flowering room and to convert this stealth dresser into a drying chamber.

The plan is to build 2 floating light traps pics #3 and #4 to use to separate the chambers and then suspend them 24" from the ground using 2x4s mounted to studs on all sides, i will be using weather stripping to seal the seams between the 2x4s and the light traps.

Here are some before pics, you must excuse the mess i just got done drying my previous harvest in my flowering room and haven't gotten a chance to clean up yet.

nice set up, but erm... what kind of plant is that your growing ?

also, if your using GH 3 part you might want to look in to the Luca Formula ?

http://lucasformula.com

another thing I have good success with in Hempy is hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)

http://joemacho.hubpages.com/hub/Hydrogen-Peroxide-for-Plants

I just use a few drops in my 2L water I give it in a 5Kg bucket every 3th day or so

and be careful with all the wood and water, don't want to start some mold/rot in there

Thanks for the info man, the clones are reveging so there growth is pretty funky right now, but they are Veneno and Burmese Kush, as far as the mold goes i've been using wood for the past 2 grows in different parts of my grow and i haven't noticed any rot or mold growth yet I'm pretty sure my ventilation system keeps the mold spores in check, i would think any water that got spilled would have evaporated in a day or so.

ahh revegging, that why they look a bit funny, I get it, they do trow out them odd looking single leave`s when they do that, but harvest can still be pretty good

just a small clone/cutting I had a bit of fun with playing around to see what would happen if I re-veg it for a few week`s did`t even get top light, had to keep it on the "side" so to speak

in my bucket I go 4/8 ml micro/bloom per half gallon of water a few drops of h2o2 and enough PH down to hit around 6 (that 0,5ml PH down in my case as my tap is 7,4 to start with)

I follow the directions on the bottle and add 1 tsp per gallon of cal mag also...

whole number = tsp or 5 ml
order + grow micro bloom

clones and seedlings 1/4 tsp per gal all 3
mild veg 1 1 1
aggressive veg 3 2 1
bloom transition 2 2 2
aggressive bloom 1 2 3

yea sorry, forgot, I use a 1/2 ts of epsom salt now and then as well to cover the Mg and sulfate, and my tap keep enough Ca along with the micro

and I just use the normal 3% from the drug store, perfectly fine, just to keep it clean and the roots healthy, and of course add some oxygen to my still water

I guess with the h2o2 there is no point in using rhizotonic with it, I'm thinking it will kill the rhizo?
Also I have mycorhizae fungi will the h2o2 kill that as well?

I really wanna figure out some way to mount or suspend an oscillating fan or 2 from the far ends of the flowering room this renovation but i cant seem to come up with any way to set it up, i did see an idea recently that involved a shelf L bracket, a pole and some duct fasteners but I'm not sure i can get it to work with out the vibrations traveling threw my studs and that's something i really don't want, on my first grow with a wall mounted fan it sounded like a helicopter was flying over my house every 10-15 seconds, that fan has since crapped out after a whole 3 months of use, so I'm trying to find a suitable replacement.

yea if you run it organic the H2O2 will attract it self (or the o2 will) to some of the organic material so wouldn't use it with organic, atleast not of a regular base, I use it in my organic soil as well, but more as a live saver if I over water or find my grow medium a bit compact

I thought synthetic fertilizers in general killed microbiological organisms, are you in hempy?

best way would be to hang it in sumthing to the keep the movement from traveling

That is what i want to do but I'm not sure about balancing it, I'm not sure if i would need to counter weight it or not. i suppose it would probably depend on the particular fan.

well a small honeywell fan would be kind a perfect

or if you have the money, one of them new once with out any moving parts

I'm doing both at the moment, soil for the outdoor and hempy indoors although with the heat wave we had here the last few weeks I put the hempys out as well, my room was just too hot and that was a 125w cfl only.
The plants in the pics are AK x WW and Himalayan Gold x WW is the smaller one, that has hardly grown since I topped it a while back, I topped at the second or third node when it had eight nodes.
I'm only giving them biobizz fish mix and rhizo, I recently had to change the soil they were in because the ph was way off and they were in trouble but they have recovered nicely although I have lost some growing time, for the hempys I have the GH flora trio and the mycorrhizae is only in with the soil plants.
Anyone recognise these critters, one is brown and like some kind of beetleCAM BEETLE2.jpg, the other has a shell also that is the same colour as a twig.CAM00292.jpgCAM00288.jpgCAM00282.jpg
Sorry psilo for jacking your thread.

What about the bigger computer fans, I have one in the grow tent and although on it's own it is not powerful but 3-4 of them would be ideal and they are easy to position and hang.
I looked at those Dyson fans and they are very expensive but are probably very good though.
