Got some seeds from a retired cop who grows it in his backyard. Have had the seeds for year and a half, and got tired of having to buy my weed all the time. I have always wanted to harvest my own supply. So here is my first attempt to grow.
Built my grow room and got my self a 400 watt Floralux unit from HTG Supply. They rock by the way. Sprouted these guys in wet napkin and zip lock bag. Planted in shitty HD soil and never checked the PH off the run of. It was in the 8 range. Thought I was fine using distilled water. After discovering no growth in 1 week, I knew something was wrong @ 3 weeks.
That is when I figured out the PH level was high. So I flushed with Tetra Easy balance to get a PH of 6.5-6.3. I only did 6 plants up front that looked the worst to test it out. Tetra Easy balance was all I had at the time in the house, and this stuff has nitraban which sounds like Nitrogen. I knew that these plants need it, so I figured why not. Man, after 2 days, I could see a difference. Also since there were 3 weeks old, I applied a little Fox Farm Big Bloom™ Liquid Plant Food to the mix.
Now that the plants are doing great, In the meantime, I started a fresh batch of 6 more seedlings. Just in case I killed or screwed up the first batch. Anyways, went out and got me a Digital PH Pen. Now I am making some good juice for these little guys.
Anyways, here are some pics from start to today @ 4 weeks from sprout.
Thanks Rollitup and all the users for all the help and information. Comments welcomed!

probably shouldn't be nuting quite this soon, and it looks like you might want to find a better soil mix for you transplant, other than that looks tight
D port, I don't know man. But I changed all my passwords on all my e-mail accounts and stuff. Plants are finally looking better. So I got a small set back from you now. But I am having fun. Its so hard to not spend time on them. Im in there all the time looking at there growth. I need to stop so I can see more of a difference.
Hey Pacman, The seeds are already 4 weeks old in shitty soil (PH in 8.0) So they did not have any self nutrients left by then. Once I got the soil's ph and down, and added 1/0 the fert. into watering, these babies came back real nice. Bringing the Ph down more to acidic would create more intake if incase the roots where blocking off nutrients. From what I read, the High PH will make the roots not absorb the nutrients
But I did go out and buy Fox Farm Soil if you read. I'm using it on the next batch. But will def. switch the soil on next transplant. Thanks for stopping by.
Dam MH 400W bulb went out on me. Fucker only has 2 weeks on it. I hope HTG covers it. All I had was 2 HPS bulbs so I threw one on last night. Going to the Local Hydro store today to pick up a new one.
The plants this morning look a little droopy, So there not liking the new ligth just yet. Oh well, they will have the light they like tonight.
Do you guys think HTG Supply will cover this bulb?
Dam, I got out early today, went down to the local Hydro store, they were out of the light I needed, had to drive a bit further to get then one I needed, but I got it! Popped it in the ballast, first spark went on just fine.
Plants are looking better now. Will give week 5 update on tues..............
I bumped up the fertilizer a tad bit cause growth slowed down, and now they are growing much faster. I don't have any measuring devices, but the plants are coming up to 5 weeks, and I am giving them about 1 quarter of a cap to half a gallon of water. The cap I am using is off the smaller bottle from Fox Farm.
I'm thinking since the chart says 2 teaspoons of Grow Big and 2 teaspoons of Big Bloom, I need to bump it up to half a cap of Grow Big and Half a cap of Big Bloom for a half a gallon and see how they react.
Sorry guys for the update, But had an unexpected visit from family, will have to wait for week 6 update. But I did start to see roots from the bottom, transplanted into 3/4 gallon containers. Boy am i glad I did.
When I took them out, I found some bad things.
1. Roots were thick at bottom and were starting to become no space left for expansion. Had no clue. No wonder they slowed down again in growth.(learning so much..)
2. There was mold on the outside of the dirt on the inside of the pots.
3. More mushrooms growing on the sides near mold. I removed majority of old soil, transplanted in FowFarm, and feed a good dose of PH 6.4 with nutes.
Took a quick peek 24 hours later and was expecting droopy sick looking plants from the stress and transplant. Temps have been low enough lately to no have the 4" inline on, which is good cause its loud. And humidity is up in the 40% range which seems to help.
Everyone else was sleeping, and wow, they have the biggest smile on them. New growth again!!!!
So watch out, week 6 should look much better then the last 2 weeks. Im totally confident there on the right path from here on out. Grow room is about 90% complete as well, and much more silent/stealth then before. Hardy any light seeps through!
Took a peak this morning and there looking very good. Good growth. Less height and more bush type growing. Should be another 2-3 weeks, then flowering and femming cause of height issues. Update photo in 4 days.......
Now I know these babies don't look like week 6(had a very bad start) they are looking and growing much better. Anyone know what Strain this is yet?
I decided to try the LST method on a few plants. Will clone off a few mothers once thrown into flowering and harvest the rest. Afterwards, should have a nice steady supply coming in.....
Been growing some other stuff too if any one wants to play the guessing game.....
