Well, looks like the biggest potted one is definitely a hermie - hairs and balls...bummer.


And I think that the big one in the Earthbox is a male.


The hope right now is for the mutant. I'm not able to tell right now but it's getting soooooo close! Damn, wish there was something I could do to influence the sex at this point!

Definitely have a hermie (those pics will be after the first two), but now I think I've got a big baby boy on my hands. It really sucks because this little bagseed beauty is getting nice and big - the stalk is almost as big as my pinky. It's in an Earthbox with 3 other plants. They aren't doing as well, dumb boy is probably hogging everything.

What did I do wrong, oh ganga god? Please make my little mutant a girl! If you do, I'll throw that boy and it's confused pal outside and let her have the whole greenhouse! It'll just be the mutant and the tomatos living in harmony with a few other edibles. Please!!! Mamma needs some sweet sensi!


Boy do I wish I was in CA and could just go get a whole boatload of female clones. I'd ditch these boys in a heartbeat. Ugh.

Today's photo of the hermie. Seems like it's not growing much now - like all the energy is going into it's confusion over what sex it is.


Here's the little family of survivors of the GREAT THRIP INVASION. As you can see, the "big" one in the Earthbox is growing by leaps & bounds - it's gotten almost a foot taller in the last week. The mutant is in the terra cotta colored pot in the front - Mutant is my hope for a girl. Thankfully, it's also the densest plant that I've got right now. Not shown are the seedlings coming up and the 3 other little plants that are trying to come back after losing most of their leaves to thrips. They are trying so I'm trying to keep 'em alive!

I've put Mr.Mrs. hermie outside now. I'm being very cautious about the mutant...if it IS a girl, I don't want any stray pollen floating around inside the greenhouse.
