~ My Perpetual Garden ~

Hey everyone, I have had a perpetual medical cannabis garden growing for over 2 and a half years now,
and figured I would start to document some of my plants here on the site.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Let me start by giving you guys a few stats about my garden -

Light Source: 250W hps, (soon to be 650w total)

Medium: Soil, (Some plants are in "FFOF", others were planted in "Roots Organics")

Nutrients: General Organics and Molasses.

Current strains in flowering: "Brooklyn Heights", "Sour Cream", "MoonWalker", "Krusty", "Upgrade", and "Jack the Ripper"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like to begin my journal by showing you some shots of a plant I JUST harvested 3 days ago, "Cognac Kush":

(She was harvested @ just over 8 weeks) - The photos are from roughly 2 weeks ago.

I will post photos of the dry buds down the road...she should be a tasty one!

I will be posting up a few more shots of my other plants here in a few hours...thanks for stopping by!

Nice looking grows! I'm too lazy to look up your strains.....they sorta look like auto's....are they?
No, these are regular seeds, not fem, and not auto.

Essentially they look smaller, because they are slightly smaller, lol. I only veg them for a small amount of time, and then put them into flowering.
I do this because in the past I have vegged out plants for longer, and the yield is better don't get me wrong, but I can fit LESS plants under my light...and I enjoy variety over a larger quantity of only two strains. At the same token, I am only flowering under a 250, so then light doesn't penetrate as much as say most people's larger wattage lights.

So I keep them small so I can put 6-7 under my light...Sortof in-between a sea of green, and not. LOL, medium sized plants.

I enjoy it.

Subbed...:peace:
Sweeeet! Thanks man!

Here is my setup from an above view...

Setup.jpg
Pretty simple...

The light is generally closer, but with summer temps in my state being super high right now, I have to raise it just a bit. (These plants get rotated daily, so there is no plant receiving the MOST light)
I'm waiting on a quality portable a/c unit that should show up pretty soon here, so that should help me out. Also, I'll be able to re install my vertical 400w on the other side of the closet.

Thanks for the sub, brother!

May I ask what sort of yield you get with that growing pattern? I'm probably going to have to flower over the summer under a T5 and am doing some LST to have shorter plants due to less light penetration compared to my 400w HPS. How tall do you let 'em get before flipping them?

Yield... 1 1/2 oz on better yielding plants, but on average, an oz per. So, it's not too bad. Keep in mind a lot of these plants are in 1 gallon smart pots, and others are in 3.

As far as how tall I allow my plants to get before flowering...It really does depend on the strain for me. I let Indicas get a little bit taller before I flower them because I know they won't stretch too much. I put Sativas/Sativa-doms into flower at about 1 foot, sometimes a dash more...Indicas/Indica-doms I will let get to a foot and a quarter, foot and a half or so.

I've vegged my plants to about 20" under T5's and that seems to be the threshold of how far light will penetrate with florescents.

I'm guessing with the proper LST I can grow them to 12" before flipping them. I'm hoping (probably very unrealistically) of getting two ounces per plant....I don't know, I've never tried a short flowering period before. I have one indica, and one indica dom that'll be under the 12/12 lights next.

Heck, I could see 2 oz a plant, if you lst it, and have a good amount of wattage...and at the same time have some yield-y genetics. Especially if you scrog. :)

due to limitations of my grow room a scrog is not in my future. I'll post the LST grow when it happens.

I think it is a combination of good genetics, keeping consistent temps (65 - 75 degrees), and babying the shit out of them, LOL.

Thanks for stopping by!
I do all that..your obviously a better grower than this girl..do you use finisher or something like HIGHFIRE?

Same with me so I got these GRO thru plant stands for 1.67$ at HomeDepot and they work like a charm..someone else asked me about them for a vertical grow. I don't have time to build shit.

Thanks for the compliment.

I have been growing for a good amount of time, and honestly, I think it is just a matter of having your environment perfect....But mostly genetics.

And I don't use any finisher, or highfire.

These are the nutes I use:

General Organics + Molasses + Root Tech Rooting Gel.
