Also! I went over to a friends house and they gave me this to use for harvesting. It evidently is from the 60's or something. I will be using it to look at bud and plants alike.

you can get a badass one of those that goes from 60X to 100X I think, its like 9.95, they are so cool to look at your buds through

Well I'm FUCKING pissed. I've had a horrible day and I got home and it was worse..

FUCK! HPS is defective and High Tech Garden Supply is sending me a new one. So my plants got 6 hours of darkness that was supposed to be light and it's back on my MH until Wed/Thu.

Sigh, I know it's not a big deal but when your trying to get shit done..having a defective bulb fucking sucks.

High Tech Garden Supply also has some LEDs that look promising.
Have you ever considered?

Truthfully, no I haven't. I'm not keen to the idea of new technology being played with by a new grower. I should have stuck to a CFL grow..or a T5..but I am more than happy with my MH light bulb, and I'm sure I will be happy when my HPS comes in.

I am considering Ceramic Metal Halide though.

No dude you are doing it right I did a cfl grow as my first one and it kisses a wienee compared to hid's. I still use the cfl for clones but if at all possible I wont grow anything with them again. Which hps did you get from High Tech? I have the 400 with the self enclosed ballast, I made sure it lit but it wont go into use until may. Hope tommorow is better man, peace
