I am getting interested in LED's as I believe I'll be getting a panel or two from growevolution. I've wanted to try led's for a long time but have been hesitant about spending the cash up front. Hopefully next grow I'll be using the panels and I am looking forward to seeing your continued results. Thanks for the welcome. Hope you are having a good weekend. :)

@Jigfresh - I will look into those, I've never heard of them before. Thanks for mentioning it.
@supchaka - I have not heard of that company either, thanks for bringing it to my attention I will look into their lights. I am open to try any systems 3w+
@Shwagbag - Hey Shwag, how have u been buddy? Which company puts those out? At this particular moment my memory isn't the best.. that sounds familiar but my recollection is escaping me.

Call me a hoarder if you want, but a little fun fact is that I have not gotten rid of a single light that I have used to date.

I think it's finally time to sell off some of the lights that aren't being used and I figured I would give people on the forum (and more specifically the ones who visit my thread) first dibs on the lights.

All lights are in excellent condition, fully functional and have only been used for 1 harvest period (approx 700 hours).

Spectra (GrowHydroLED)
(3)
Spectra LED 180 - $300 each or $800 for all 3

Blackstar
Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar 900w LED Grow Light UV - $525
Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar Chrome 720w LED Grow Light FSF - $600

HydroGrowLED

336X-PRO - 500W LED Grow Light - $1000

PM me if you are interested in purchasing, first come first serve basis.

I'm good man thanks, i hope you are as well. There are a few different arrays available, but they are said to be the widest spectrum available, some of which offer deeper penetration and 5w diodes. The ones in this video are supposed to be the deeper penetrating ones, but there are other manus that are making a more traditional footprint with their design. The spectrum is said to have been developed by NASA. Sounds good to me! lol

Hey WJ,

Just got caught up. Took a little RIU hiatus for the better part of this year.

I am enjoying your LED posts, results and reviews.

I have recently done a preliminary report on the Kessil LED Spectral Spinner with 6 H350 Magentas. I hope you will head over there and see what Kessil is doing. LEDs Do Not Grow Plants

I have the Blackstar Chrome 270W, and have fantastic results in a 3x3 foot area. A while back, I followed your progress with the Blackstar and have been having similar results.

I am interested int he Black Dog LED panels, and would like you to explain the differences between the Chrome and the Black Dogs. I am going to making a purchase soon for a 4x4 tent, and would like to hear your comparative thoughts.

Thanks WJ,

Snafu

Hey Snafu, glad to see you back on the forum! I've been less active than I previously used to be so I apologize for the delayed response, but I am still remaining active on here nonetheless :) Right now is break time between light tests so I have been thoroughly enjoying the break, but I am excited to get the next light up and showcase it.

I appreciate your question, here are my thoughts between the Black Dog 450-U and the Blackstar Chrome 720w.

Functionally, both lights have been stellar and I have not had issues with either of them although there are definitely major differences in the construction of the light units themselves. The lenses appear to be similar in regards to amplification and dispersing the light evenly, although I am unsure which company uses what lens angles. The Black Dog unit is significantly heavier than the Blackstar, from what I believe is heavier heat sinks to disperse the heat, the Black Dog runs considerably cooler than the chrome. Size wise the Black Dog is thicker in profile, but has similar length and width measurements.

Both lights put out a nice coverage area in a 4x4 tent and are more than sufficient to yield great results. Overall I would choose the Black Dog BD450U over the Blackstar 720w Chrome, but the Chrome light was only temporarily Blackstar's flagship light. Their new light they are producing should step the LED game up substantially and I am extremely excited to get my hand on it!

I hope this was helpful; if you have any specific questions or concerns that I didn't address please feel free to ask.

hey wejuana,

I folow your thread from europe ,so sorry for my english!
you do a real good job,
thank you it's help me lot,
I'm a fan of dinafem too which is one the best european seed bank in my opinion,
I grew some strains from dinafem like: white siberian ,sweet deep grapefruit, moby dick 2,power kush, original amnesia and of course the moby dick ,probably
one of my favorite.
I've got a 240w blackstar uv bought in 2011 and I'd like to buy a new generation led panel like the chrome, the blackdog or the growblu,
and I've got a question to make my choice ,
quality of my yeld is my first preocupation and which panel made the best weed (trichs, effect and taste...)?
quality looks better with the blackdog, or it's only the light or picture?
can we have a lil' smoke report?
thanks for everything.

Have you had a chance to test the 336x Pro yet? I'm growing some white Siberian and after a few bumps in the road with a bubbleponics system (killing the roots... Twice) and accidentally letting them stretch a bit, and defoliating after switching to 12/12, the plants look real healthy and I hope to get a decent yield in my 4x4 tent.

Does anyone have much experience with this light? Compared to the BS 720.
lthanks!
