The CO2 meter has an analog output put along with an analog output put for temp (in ^C) That gets dumped into an AD/DA converter in a PLC. ( I can multiplex the analog input to read more then the 4 inputs/2 outputs of the module, but no need thus far) The Co2 meter also has a RS232 output, but haven't herd back from the mgf on the protocol for it.

The PLC has an Ethernet port on it routed through the firewall so the PLC programing software can access it and make any adjustments.

As for the roll your own vs DIY, its going to be a combo of the two. I will be making an RS-485 network in the house for full house control, and the plant stuff, will just tag along for the ride on that. (gotta love RS485, a mile long and 255 nodes) All rolling into the house brain (a Mac mini)

Any Qs?

I'll try to get some pics up this weekend. I might work tomorow (ugh!)

Cleaned up the bloomroom, found a prob or two with the program/interlocks.
Should go online tomorrow with the program.)

The seed plant is looking awesome!

One clone is nute burned. (but hanging in there)

Other clone a bit burned, but new growth looks killer.

feel free to PM me if you dont want your diary clogged with this stuff.

Put up mylar in about 1/2 the bloom room.

The new control program is going online tomorrow.
Veg room is going from 24/0 to 18/6.

My watering may not be a big issues. Seem to only water once a week. And I'm home most wekends.

A few new pics. The seed plant in bloom, and a couple of the veg. The shot of the three in veg, the closest is laz, I'm so psyched how she's coming along.

THe big plans are a 400 or 600W HPS for flowering and to only flower during winter. Using the lam heat is a good thing. Cooling it is kinda dumb.
But on that dumb thread.....
I'm thinking of one of those dorm fridges. Toss a res inside of it and pump the water out to a radiator in front of a fan.

True. but hasn't been harvested yet and far from a trimmed bud.

I was just thinking about that today. Longer its left the browner it would get.
Maybe the bud in that pic was in flowering for 4 months

Quick update and thoughts:

4 new pics 2 of the seed plant and 2 of the good clone. (the clone pics didn't show the buds well. Not looking awesome but better then the pic) Buds all down the stalks. The 2 clones each have 4 main colas.

The 2 clones are rather nute burnt. One massively, but buds still growing, so gonna let it roll.

The seed plant is producing quite well. I kinda like the trips. Nice to come home to a big change!

Going to do my main growing in the winter. Offset the heat with the light, and not have to need more AC in summer. Going wit a 600W HPS and probably a few floros for lower lighting. (ideas? Tubes? CFLs? T5 seem too pricey for sup lighting.)

Starting to look at seeds for my vacation trip. Planning on a straight Sativa, a straight indica, and a blend, and probably some poppy seeds (always wanted to try opium)

Been a week for the clones in the areogarden. Look just like they did when I cut them. So they ain't dying yet (ain't have great luck cloning. Still trying different methods)

Veg room looks great! Mary and Jane are thriving. Laz is looking awesome for what was a dead plant. Momma Cass is still phat and fat.

When this flowering crop is over, the areogarden clones should be in soil. I'll take a few more cuttings from Cass and toss her into flowering. She will need an x-plant. I won't have anymore room to go deeper on the new pot. Will wider be ok? I can go rather wide.

Still looking for the right nug to steal and try.
