    Default 250 Watt HPS First Grow 36 x 20 x 63

First grow(journal) here. Cleaned out half of my wardrobe to fit this tent from Aviditi into it. I'll have some clones within the next few weeks, just waiting for the weather to cool off a bit.
Thinking about growing a 2-3 plant scrog, in 3-5 gallon geopots. Whatchu think?

Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

How's the quality like for that Aviditi tent you got there? Do you see any lights coming out when everything is all zipped up and closed?
Also, how's the noise level from the fan and all that when the tent is closed?

    Ok, I'll follow

Just keep me informed of both grows, I miss outdoor growing....

Love the tent, fits perfectly in that closet. Im under 250w as well, built my own cab tho to save a couple bucks.

My "area" to grow in is right around 24" x 36" x 5', obviously the 5' is more for ventilation like yourself. I have 4 plants in there now and its real crowded, 3 of them are bushes (bruce banner), the 4th is just a sativa bag seed.
So if you decide to do 3 just be sure to research the strain, if its a medium to large grower you may only need 2.
I topped mine early on, and did some minor LST to try and get an even canopy. They went nuts after switching to 12/12 and grew another 12 - 16". Have about 20 tops all at equal levels, and a whole bunch of lower branches.

    Good luck...

Tent is very strong, both material and the frame. I'm hanging everything from the top of the frame and it's still very strong and sturdy. Little bit of light leakage, and nothing too crazy from the fan. You'll definitely notice it but its nothing too bothersome. Quite soothing actually.

I'm actually changing this from a 250w HPS to get ??? LED grow. I'm ordering a few LED's this week but not sure which ones. Something on the lines of Pro Grow, California Light Works, or Area 51. I emailed Jeff at Area 51 and within an hour I had a response. Apparently there are a few LED's for sale that aren't on the website. Kinda leanin' towards them. Lemme know what you guys think.

I forgot I even started this. So I haven't been able to post about the outdoor grow. But here's some pics from a week ago. My apologies if you're allergic to golden retrievers.

I'll try to keep up with this...

Ok, So I've decided I'm going to buy the SolarFlare 200 from California Light Works(Full Cycle). Can't find anything negative about them besides the fact they are expensive, but they seem to be the best of quality with the 5w diodes.

The CLW Solarflare 200 comes with a switch for veg/flower. The idea is to start veg with it. Then when it's time to flip the switch to flower, I'll throw my 250watt HPS in there for as long as I can. Hopefully it can handle the heat, I took out the carbon filter to help the fan a bit.

I've seen very few grows of mixed LED/HPS but the few journals I've read all flourished. I'm thinking down the road I'll just collect more Solarflares and have a larger, all LED operation.

    outdoors.

Bad news. The two outdoor plants were stolen. Manage to save a cola though. Smoke is nice.
    Also caught the little fucker.

I'm no longer using the 250 hps. Too hot. Using a 400 watt solar storm from California lightworks .
