| | First time, lots of juicy pics | | Hey guys! This is my first time growing so I've found this website in conjuction with Marijuana Horticulture Bible to be perfect combo of information. Anyways, I'm beginning a journal because of a few concerns I've ran into.
First, here are the details:
400w MH 24/0 in a 4x4x7
4-in inline exhaust fan at ceiling
oscilating fan
humidifer to keep humidity between 55-65
3 soda bottles for co2 (yeast/sugar)
regular tap water using ph down to hit a PH of 6.8-ish
temp is usually 72-80
miracle grow potting soil (high nitrogen content)
all purpose fert (feed every week or so)
I water once or twice a day (2 gallon pots with pond rocks at bottom for extra drainage) as my babies are now about 5 weeks old.
I was very disapointed with a germination of only 8/30 seeds; however, before I had the exhaust fan the temp climbed to high 80's-90 a few times and may be the reason for such a ratio =(. If you refer to the grow room pictures, the black pots are Jack Herer, red are Tangerine (california orange x chronic), and the gray are King Phish (white widow x skunk).
Alright down to business. First of all the Jack Herer in the front row all the way to the right (A4) has been growing oddly ever since birth, any ideas as to why? I noticed just a few small brown spots on a leaf or two, may just be dirt, big problem?
I'm labeling the plants so you can get a better idea of which ones im talking about. Front row plants ____________Back row plants A1 A2 A3 A4____________________B1 B2 B3 B4
Alright, A1 & A3 have a few very small yellow dots, pics below...any ideas? big problem? I transplated the seedlings after 2-3 weeks in peat pods; however, while they were germinating/seedling stages i did not change the ph of my tap water (7.3) and gave them no nuts...probably why they were bright green before transplating (lack of nitrogen?).
A2 is a beautiful King Phish plant; however, just today I noticed it grew a random yellow leaf out of the middle of no where....the other two sister leaves are normal...any ideas?
I think some of these babies are beginning to show pre-flowers, I tried my best to take zoomed up shots of the little possible pistols. Let me know what you think.
One last question...I could probably squeeze 16 girls in there once I do some cloning...what kind of yield am i looking at per plant? Is it relative to the length I let them veg? What is optimal? Thanks.
***NOTE: the fourth picture below with the random yellow leaf is labeled B2, it should read A2.***

Plant A3 has sort of dark coloring in stem, problem? (pic #2)
Plant A4 has had weird growth since the beginning...also has the little brown spot i was talking about earlier...could really use some help on this one (pic #3 & 4)
Plant A2 has a few sets of leaves where the outer ends are sort of curled inwards (pic #5) |

| | | I think they look great at the moment, you shouldnt be watering every day though. you should not water until your pot has dired all the way to the bottom. for those pots should be at least 2 days to dry at but more like 3-5.
go easy on the ferts for now. all of the small problems you listed seem fine right now, don't worry unless it starts spreading to the whole plant. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
