My first horticulture experiment

Sure I can do an update, I hadn't done one because I was basically planning on starting a new journal with my white widow seeds that arrived, but so far only 2 of the 10 have germinated in almost 3 days. In the last pic you can see the two mini rockwool cubes that have the germinated widow seeds, the haven't popped up yet. The other 6 plants are wilted because I over watered them trying to water the widow cubes..oops, other than that they seem healthy, the roots are coming through the bottom nicely. I really hadn't realized how much they've grown in the last 5 days, until I saw my last pics.

I also went ahead and started germinating the 5 free "thai stick" seeds I got when I bought the widow so hopefull I can get some good plants growing. If by some miracle I do end up with 6 plants from my good seeds, these bag seed plants are gonna get transplanted outside instead of chopped down.

Question: If I switch my lights back to 24hrs on for the widow, will it hurt the other plants that are on a 18/6 schedule?

On a side note: DON'T EVER PURCHASE SEEDS FROM marijuana-SEEDS.NL, I PURCHASED 10 FEMINISED WHITE WIDOW SEEDS THAT HAVE BEEN GERMINATING FOR OVER 4 DAYS NOW, 2 OF THEM CRACKED OPEN AFTER ONLY 24 HOURS AND HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING SINCE, THE OTHER 8 HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING!!! THEY ALSO GAVE ME 5 FREE "THAI STICK" SEEDS, THEY'VE ONLY BEEN GERMINATING FOR 2 DAYS SO WE'LL SEE.

did they come in the breeders packs????

packaging? they came in a small bag inside a cd case. I didn't order a variety pack if that's what you mean, just the widow.

Ok so Im not getting excited just yet, but 2 of 5 "free" thai stick seeds that I got when I ordered the feminised white widow, have cracked open and actually started to grow in the aerogarden (the aerogarden is a germinating machine if nothing else and all of my good seeds will go straight into it...lol).

The 2 widow seeds that cracked open a week ago haven't moved since so I really think all of the widow seeds are shit!! Why does it not surprise me that the free seeds in my order are the ones that are growing.

Ok so now I have 10: White Widow | Marijuana Seeds Catalogue on the way, we"ll see how those work out. They also give me 10 free "high potent" seeds but I really want to know what strain I'm growing and that will be kinda hard in a seed grab bag.

I also have 5: GHF Trainwreck on the way.

If I can't get 7 good plants out of 30 premium seeds (including the 5: Free marijuana (cannabis) seeds with every order I have germinating), I should maybe consider a new hobby...lol

This is going to sound bitchy but you should really calm down...your germination expectations are pretty high...and when they are germing as fast as you want your anxiety shoots and it goes straight to your plants...its cool that you won some extra money or that you have a steady flow of it for your hobbie but seriously calm down....you havent even got growing 101 down and your ordering more seeds.....focus on what you got....even when you get the new seeds dont germ them immediately see what you have going from the mass you all ready have going......your going to end up with a fuck load of plants that you cant manage...relax.....work with what you got then upgrade to more plants

I understand what you're saying and no it didn't seem bitchy, but I won't end up with too many plants because any plants I have over 6 are going outside (other than mothers). I just don't want to grow regs and that's the only thing I have growing now, thats the reason for the new seeds purchase, that and the widow I bought are bad seeds. Yes, money isn't an issue and will never be, I do very well, but that also has nothing to do with it. I'm not looking for a large amount of plants, I just want a small amount (6) of GOOD plants. Oh and the 10 widow & 5 trainwreck seeds that are on the way are only getting germinated if & when I need them, I think you misunderstood what I was saying.

As far as calming down, it will never happen, I have a serious case of A.D.D.

the 2 Thai's have both sprouted in the rockwool and are doing good. My assortment of seeds should start arriving on Friday so it won't be long and I'll have some good plants going. I think the regs that I have going now are gonna do good outside, they seem very healthy.

it still won't let me attach any pics directly to my message so I'm attaching some links. The 3 in the pics are on the 26th day of veg and appear to be females (I didn't know they show signs of sex that fast when you switch to 12/12 cuz it only took about 6 days), I got rid of the other 3 that were males and the lights are back to 24hrs on. The seedling is Thai Stick.
