Day 1
Soaked the two seeds in a shotglass of Reverse Osmosis water with a ph of 7
Day 2
Took a paper plate out, put a paper towel on it and poured the two seeds onto it. Covered with paper towel, another shot of reverse osmosis water. covered with another plate and put in top cabinet shelf.
Day 3
One seed showed a tail, other is moist but not showing yet. Planted the seed with tail into Pro-mix filled jiffy 3 inch pot.

Day 4

Day 5
Seedling emerges! I have a light a foot away from her dome and it does not seem to be affecting temp. Just a 23 watt daylight. I'll bump her up to more light in a day or two. Once she can be out of the dome.
Still no sign of NL #2.

NL#2 has sprouted!! hurray!
It was a scary night, but we got through it. NL#1 seed leaves were drooping badly. It turned out to be the humidity was too high. 80%. I took off the dome and put her closer to the light and she made a full recovery!
NL#2 Had the seed shell still attached even after standing straight up. I didn't want the seed leaves to die, so I very VERY gently took my nail and LIGHTLY pryed it apart. HUZZAH! The seed leaves stayed on!

Dome stops the leave's from aspirating...not the high humidity!!! It had no Co2 to photosynthisize....Good job with the seed!! it would have been a stumbling block but you took care of it great!! How many plant's total do you have as seedling's now?? How big the space and how many watt's per square foot?? Both NL I have grown has done verry well!! Wishing you the best on your grow!!! If I can be of assistance let me know!.....Harvesting tomorrow so new rotation for me no new blood just favorite's froom currant grow! and put it on auto....jack..3 month's and you will be dealing with this! They are bigger than theese! wish I'd kept the pic's but..NL will blow you away!!..this AM....1-2 day's left...almost the worst to have to wait!! Just have two plants at the moment. Waiting to see if NL #2 recovers from having her shell off. If she spreads her cotelhydrons i know all will be well.
CO2... yeah that make sense lol. poor baby was suffocating.
I have the two seedlings under 46 watts of 5000k cfl. I had her under one cfl yesterday. Now two. I feel afraid to bump them up to six right away. So I am gonna wait till saturday to put them in the grow box.
Ive also slowly been raising them up to the light. Every 5-6 hours they get closer. Tonight they will be exactly 2 inches under the cfls.
