Trying again the newbie adventure.... - Page 2

the 3rd sprout that was on its way dried out, i am not sure whats goign worng the temps arent that high my soil is dry on the top everyday but still moist about 2 inches down, I just cant seem to get anything to grow, I may give bubbleponics another try, I figured the problem I had before was using my tap water, I am in a region with pretty hard tap water, so I am going to try using my AG resvoir as a bubler and sit it inside the box with the 2 sprouts I have, transplanted inside I plan on building a bigger unit, soil just goes to slow for me... its been well over a week and of 9 seeds planted only 2 sprouts I had much better success getting them started in water i think as long as i used distilled i will be fine wish me luck

after alot of thinking and smoking I decided it was time to investigate my very slow start, what I found was out of 9 seeds 7 had dried up under the soil!!!!!! the soil was very dry on the top 2-3 inches but moist under that so I am not sure what caused this, the 2 that sprouted are barely holding on to life, in my spare high time i put together another bubler using distilled water and I put them in it I will watch them and see what happens, pics to follow... damn it sucks being a noob

camera is charging so I will post pics today, no problems to report the 2 sprouts are still alive my ph stayed perfect using the distilled water, and I am germinating seeds just in case

i keep my lights at a constant 5in from the top of the tallest plant at all times. i check it areound every 4 hrs but mine is hydro, so you wont need to check it so often.

camera still on the fritz, all is well though with the bubler, I have 3 pods going 2 have the seedlings from the soil, they have obviously been thru some shock but are adjusting well the younger of the 2 has roots coming out of the bottom of the net pot already and the other has some little leaves coming in, I am suprised it made it since I broke part of the root when doing the transplant, and the seed I planted has also started to come up so all is looking good.... I also have 3 seeds in rckwool one poped up today I think using the correct type of water is going to finally give me some success i will get pics up ASAP

good to hear on your ph. check those lights i use a smaller wattage and have to keep them farther away, but then agian you may have better circulation.

had to take them with my crappy camera phone but here is a pic of the 3 pod bubler, 2 pods have the sprouts from the soil they are both surviving the younger of the 2 has trmendous root growth the roots have already grown out of the bottom of the net pot,the seed i planted has cum up, the second pic is of 6 seeds i germinated and put in rocwool cubes and just have under my AG light 3 of those have sprouted, i am not sure what i am going to do with them yet maybe the AG, maybe build a larger bubler any ideas?????

still no major growth but everything is coming together, the plants are still alive and the seedling is coming along, I have 6 seedlings in my AG also, I think I am going to let them stay under 24/7 lighting for the remainder of the week and then switch to 12/12, I want to find any females I can and give cloning a try, in the near future I want to build a 9 site bubler, anybody haveany ideas as too how many gallons I would need my res to be to support that many small plants, I would only veg for 7-10 days then 12/12????

well I put my AG back together after installing a new pump and I now have 6 seedlings in it they are doing very well the funny thing is they seem to be growing better than the ones in the bubler, maybe its the stress still from the transplant but I am going to keep all 9 going for the time being still not sure what plan is best for me I am hoping for some input from anyone following my newbie adventures

you probably cant tell from the pic but there are 6 sprouts in the AG they have all sheded there shell and have there first set of leaves forming the funny thing is the seed I put in the bubler still has a bit of the seed on it like it is growing slower than these, but its tap root has grown out of the bottom of the net pot so I guess all is good...... would appreciate any feedback and advice
