Whats your thoughts on nutes for the first 2-3 weeks of 12/12?
Yea 3 reasons i said run 400w for 3 weeks
Flowers dont start really forming until around the 4th week mark then they start taking up and exploding in buds.
Cheaper on power 200w less
I run my dimmable 600w ballast on 50percent whitch is 300watts for the first 3 weeks then switch to the 600w after that
and see no increase in flower time or decrease in weight but to each their own
Whats your thoughts on nutes for the first 2-3 weeks of 12/12?
I am only offering debate on this subject (no right or wrong) but shurely if a 400 will help in veg x (times) size of plant. Then it would be the same for flower? Why change to a 600 if its not needed.
What I'm trying to say I think is...the plant in veg puts all its energy into tips, leaves and root growth. In flower it stops leaf and root growth and works on bud/flower. At the light change (12/12) your MAXIMUM light vs grow room and plant size allowance should be utilized if not prior.
With that said I should be running a 400 according to my analogy. But I believe my plants will benifit from more light at a better/even temperature (600w). I have a light meter and on a sunny day it reads around 80,000 to 99,999 (the max reading) LUX. In my grow room (i just checked) I have 60,000 at the centre running out to 40,000 at the plant edges. At the current light height at the edge of the grow box I have 18,000.
The last 3 pics are after a training session then water/nutes
Things are looking good. Nutes are at 1400 now, leaf colour was getting lighter in so went from 1100 to 1400 over 2 feeds (I water every second day, nutes every water).
Going to take clones some time this weekend early next week and trim all excess foliage under the canopy. Today is the start of 2nd week 12/12

Hey mate, im sub'd to see the final results you get. Im also using a 600 to grow 2 plants but in a small space. Im most interested to see how much room yours take up. +rep for continuing the grow man![]()
Cheers. Good luck with your grow, be carefull of heat though if the room is much smaller than mine. My temps are great at the mo 26C (outside temp 6-16C) but I'm sure things will heat up in the summer.
Cheers for the heads up mate. Im hoping because its winter where i am the air cooling the light will help keep the room fairly cool. We're getting minus 7degrees celcius at the moment.
Was it easy enough shaping your wire for the screen? Im thinking of doing something similar as im liking the way yours are looking :
Minus 7, wow thats cold!! I'm sure if you can extract airfrom the outside through your cool tube you should be fine.
Was real easy with the screen, just bought a roll of plastic mesh fencing and cut it to size. Was about $16. Not sure if the product is available where you live. Real common here.
