First Grow MH/HPS Light Closet Set Up

Hey guys, been readin up for a while and decided to grow something small-scale in a side of my closet. Closet is 7ft tall x 2 ft deep x 30 inches wide.

Germing 6 OG Kush seeds right now, started at 12:00 this afternoon.

I figure I'll grow 2 plants total, and will just throw out the smaller ones as I lose space.

Easy to read list:

• HTGsupply Mh/hps grow light 400 Watts
  
• Fox Farms nutrient pack
  
• Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil
  
• Big air fan and small fan for ventilation
  
• Ph Test Kit and PH up / PH down
  
• Black comforter to block light in closet (it gets damn bright!!!)

Got my light, nutrients, and ph test kit from htgsupply, they were really quick with shipping.

Do I need perlite or can fox farms ocean forest work well by itself?

update: day 2 after germination, and we have 5/5 sprouters!! The random bagseed that I planted before the OG Kush is a little further along, because we were germinating them first. i have them on 18/6 right now. it gets a little hot at around 82 but i'm getting another fan soon.

been watering about 2-3 times a day just because the light is drying out the soil.

any comments or suggestions welcome. thanks guys
