Very quickly, the plan is to breed the Male Pakistan Chitral Kush with a Female Apollo 13.

I ordered the PCK seeds from Sensibleseeds, from the Cannabiogen stock, a couple days ago...

Here is a copy of the email I got from them today:

Hi Brandon,
The order went through ok

Kind Regards,Paul

The Sensible Seeds Team

I will keep you posted as things happen... I am now anxiously awaiting the seeds so I can get going!!!

It has been a couple of weeks so I tracked it online to see where the package is...

Good news.

SWEET... in time for the next crop! Question now is, what do I start with? The Purpollo 13 project is slated to begin as soon as I set up my tent in the garage when it gets warmer out. That is where the males will be flowered because I plan on taking a shitload of pollen off those and hitting that whole list above with some of it eventually. Of course, that list above will take me a looooong time to get through. The good news on all this is that I am about to become a caregiver! That means I will have a 24 plant allowance. 3 of each strain, I can do 8 at once... Who can know. The immediate plan in the Purpollo project was to get the seeds. Once that update has come through, you probably won't here anything till spring - when it will be warm enough to set up the tent in the garage. Peace.

Well... I got the seeds today. I did get some free ones, nothing like the list of 8 free seeds they had as a promotion. I got the PCK ten pack...

Indica Mix Pack I from Green House Seed Co: 2 each feminized El Nino, Train Wreck, Lemon Skunk, Cheese, and Church

190226.jpg
The 8 pack I thought I was getting for free... turned into 5 feminized Neville's Haze and 10 regular Skunk No. 1. I can not bitch.

So there you have it, rather, there I have it. I have to prepare more for the PCK to get started, and the next run I do I need 24 plants so I don't know what I will germinate first... I like the suggestion above with the Church and Cheese, two strains I have been dying to get my hands on for a long time. I love me some Trainwreck too. I don't know enough about El Nino to get "caught up in the whirlwind" about it, so its gonna have to wait. The Lemon Skunk, well, back burner. The Skunk No. 1 regular seeds is pretty dope because I love using it as a male in a cross. Sweet. That is major back burner bait right now, so put the Skunk in the trunk and forget about em. The Neville's Haze... I just don't think I want to grow something that takes that long to finish. I never cared for growing any haze strains, seems like there is always a time to flower vs. Harvest weight trade off that isn't worth it for me. I've grown haze only once, and I was so dissapointed all throughout, I was happy to get what I got. Amber Trichone bitch ass was no where to be found, lol. The quality was superb, but I didn't see how it was any different than some strains that don't take 10 to 14 weeks... Hell, White Lightning in 7 weeks is every bit as potent as Neville's Haze that went for 12... So I think those are getting sold.

Good Times!!
I just "Checked out your Blog at veganicvision.com. I've been keeping it organic since the 80's when people used Rapidgro and shit like that. I seen General Hydroponics and Fox Farm evolve and put all those fancy labels on ammonium nitrite and shit like that, jacking the price of it up sometimes 100 fold. So as things evolved, I started using premade organic nutes and beneficials that were already bottled/concentrated. I guess it was because I got lazy. Whatever, the point is, I couldn't believe it when GH came out with the General Organic line, which, I believe is mostly Veganic. I don't know about Bio Marine and maybe a couple others. Which brings me to my question... What do you think about the GO line? Obviously using it, I am cutting a shitload of corners and saving hundreds of man hours a year, but is it a crap shoot compared to making your own brews and organic super soil mixes (which I got pretty good at making over the years)? For medium, admittedly, I am using Ocean Forest, that's it. Oh yeah, that was another shocker way back when Foxfarm started making that stuff! Who would have guessed? Its nothing like my mixes but then again, after 30 to 40 days - it is nothing. So I guess I'm just picking your brain. Thanks for checking my projects out, feel free to drop me advice or whatever if you ever see me slackin'.

Since I have been using it, and making quick teas with concentrates like Sensizym, Rich Humic, and Super B+, things are going as they would, I'm not noticing anything. I usually look for growth patterns and such. In the GO there is the BioThrive Bloom, which was a lot of N in it. I feel weird each week that passes in flowering putting more of it in there. I already see too many bud sites and N burnt leaf tips... What is your thoughts on that product?

I took a beginner to the grow store and bought her all the necessary bottles of General Organics, a bottle of Sensizym, Rich Humic, and Super B+. It was about 130 bones. I told her to use less than the heavy amount and she should be good to go. That was the best thing that ever happened to her, she told me. She said the plants were emerald green with no signs of leaf damage or bugs. She said she noticed "daily growth" and was very impressed after the buds were harvested. This was only her 3rd grow. So, I like the veganic philosophy... ESPECIALLY for beginners.

Upon thinking more about it... it has been a LOOOOONG time since I have done any breeding projects. The last time I crossed anything was years ago when I crossed some outdoor Michigan grown Hawaiian Purple with some Super Skunk back in like '97. I did it in my friend's garage and I did the inbreeding a year later. That project took 3 years total and I came up with one strain, which I called Super Purps. You might have smoked it, maybe not. The "pure run" only produced 30 seeds (my bad). I gotta say, it was a SMALL grow op. Also, that was the 90's. By 2003, my friend who had the Hawaiian Purple liked my cross better than the original HPB. He kept it alive and renamed it and continued growing it. I actually ended up paying $420 for an ounce of it from him at one point. Haha. Well, shit happens. I got a picture of it on my myspace site if that still exists lol. Lemme dig that shit up... As for my friend, well, I lost track of him over the years, like a lot of people, but I'm sure he still grows. I haven't seen any bud like this around since then, like ten years ago.

That shit was so phenomenal for the late 90's that most people simply couldn't afford it. It was a sellers’ market back then, like a mofo. Good economy, shitty commercial weed, no medical marijuana...hell, if it wasn't the most weed oppressed country in the world, this strain may have made me famous or propelled me into marijuana genetic notability. More so was the Pinconning Paralyzer, but that's another story...

The story at hand is the current breeding project – the Purpollo 13. First though, to get back into the swing of things, I'm going to start up these Skunk No. 1 seeds. I will then start up the PCK seeds shortly... we'll figure that out later. For now, I will do everything first with the Skunk No. 1 so I can get back into the groove. The Purpollo will be coming up, don't hate on me if you are actually anxious to see this get going. I am too, but a breeding project takes a year or more for one cross, so check back in a few weeks. Fuck it though, I'm getting a bad case of ADHD and I think I'm going to fire up four of those skunks. I will take the best bitch and sell the rest once sex is determined. Any pollen I collect will go in the safety deposit box labled Skunk No. 1. Which is awesome. I haven't grown Skunk No. 1 since the early 90's now that I think about it. I had some Canadian Skunk in 2010 that was so sativa it looked like a porcupine...tasted sweeter than hell, almost magical tasting... I fucked up and didn't clone it thinking I had more seeds.... oooooops... So its 1:30 a.m. Perfect time to put some seeds in the paper towel and put it up in the cupboard.

014801.jpg
8 Regular Skunk No. 1 Seeds – I thoght there was 10...
014506.jpg014444.jpg
If you ever bred marijuana before, you will note that different maturity levels of seeds with a variety of characteristics will be apparent in your seed stock. I divided the 8 pack up so that it was evenly matched. There was only 2 big fully developed and tiger striped seeds (the ones breeders look for)... Although highly preferred by growers and breeders alike, there is no studies out there that prove one way or another if it matters that the seed looks like the bigger ones or not. Gee I hope not, cuz 2 out of 8 is pretty lame. I personally doubt it after decades of growing seeds. Sure, there are dozens of methods of germinating seeds... some are more proven to be successful than others... me, well, I guess its just one of those Ol' School habits that never died. Choose a paper towel that is sturdy but not super fibrous (hairy). Use a plate that is deep inthe middle so water basically won't dry up in a cupboard.
014433.jpg014424.jpg
Yeah stoners – put another separate paper towel over the one on the plate & let it suck in the water. Using two towels makes it easier in the long run trust me. If you use really wak paper towels, it will be hard as fuck to get the roots out clean.
This loose flop over fold on the edges is SUPER CRUCIAL. Haha. Why? Because I said so. You wanna keep the paper towels as loose from eachother as possible. The idea is that in about 48 hours or less, you should be checkin in there to see what is up. By day 3, those should all be popped. You will be like me and want to check hourly – but don’t. Light hinders the roots from growing once there is a crackin the seed shell, so only check it once a day. When all the seeds pop, and the smallest one at least has a tail and his shell is almostoff, then take them out and plant them. You can pull the shell off by hand if the skin under it is wet. It is always possible that one or more won't pop. Plant the ones that do when they are out of the shell casing and have shed the skin below it. If the root is growing longer than 4 inches, pull the shell off carefully and plant it. Hope this is helpful to beginners, I recommend learning this process with a huge bag of good ol' rego seeds. When your done with them, plant em downtown, around city buildings and police stations. No one will know what they are until weeks later lol.
014416.jpg014403.jpg
If you have a Really deep dish plate like this one, you wanna tip off the excess water. As long as the towels remain damp, you're good to go. Check that every 18 hours or so. Tap water is fine. No amount of any product someone is trying to sell will help the seeds germinate quicker. They don't need ANYTHING but darkness and moisture and mild temps to do their magic. Stick it up in the cupboard, a cupboard that doesn't get a whole lot of traffic is the idea here. I used to use "under the bed" but I haven't had a bed in a long time. It works fine as long as you aren't doing other genetic experiments under there.... Thats' it for now, see ya when they pop.

Thanks for checking out my blog! That is much appreciated. It is a relatively new venture for me and I like it a lot. The GO line is mostly veganic. You are correct that the bio-marine is not vegan and if you want to fulfill the vegan requirement you just omit that one nutrient. I have just started using GO because I am in a transition period in terms of having space to compost and build my own soil. I am hoping in the next few months that my vision will really begin as I move to a new house with some room to work. I would think that this line would be easier than using teas and such. I think I will be using both this run. teas made from EWC mostly. I wouldn't worry too much about the N in the bloom, plants do need continued N. I learned last cycle that omitting N for too long will negatively affect your yeild but you don't want to go crazy either. Generally I use on the low end of the recommended level of nutrients per feeding. But I am really going to test that theory this grow. Oh one other thing is that GO is going to have the OMRI listing soon so that is an extra bonus I guess so that you know it is responsibly made. Nothing wrong with using FF OF that is what I was using for a couple of cycles before this. I don't really like it though. I didn't like roots either. The vital earth's manna mix seems to be pretty good but I didn't get a full grow in with it due to some unfortunate circumstances.

I know that the FF OF is some pretty hot soil so it may not be the nutrients. Depends on how long ago you transplanted.

My mission with being on rollitup and doing the blog is to help me learn as much as possible. Helping others ultimately helps me and it is beneficial for my mind in that it keeps me on my toes thinking about this and that.

How far are you into flowering?

A simplified soil grow is the best place to start for most people. Sometimes it seems like beginners have the best luck because they don't over think things. Just been my experience...I am only using the GO line and only GO in my current grow...here is the link....https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/508518-600-w-blueberry-medical-grow.html

Please feel free to give me feedback (its seems like you have a lot of experience in organics) and I will be following along with your new adventure.

Stay Lifted!

yeah man, sweet, yes, I have never used the Bio Marine... don't think I need it. Also, I feel you on the small house stuff, another "excuse" as to why I'm not making mixes and teas... I had to move in with my gramma to take care of her - she's 90 and can't get around and gets really sick in the winter. It sucks, the house is tiny, and my bedroom became the Grow Op, so I'm back on the couch. haha

In Crop 2, Week 5 just started yesterday. The Apollo's you can see them growing from like week 2 1/2 through week 6, I swear it! The resin content is stupid. I mean, some of the stems - even the long ones are literally overcrowded with glands. I'll take some pics tonight before I shut em down.

My home boy Turtle (his graffiti name) really took my wishes to the bank last year. I told him I wanted to make an all veganic mix that you can give someone with the plant in it. Then, before flowering, there will be the bag of the finishing mix. The grower simply transplants and that's it. Just water only for the whole life of the plant. He did it too. It took him like all summer to get it right, but it is the shit! Unfortunately, he has been shut down for the winter, but I heard through the grapevine he will be coming back into the scene soon. It's called Turtlizer, and I can't wait till he makes that stuff again. There is a point where you have to add tea to it, but he ran a crop with just adding water and it kicked ass. Okay, I am actually in the process of trying to get him involved in this Purpollo project, so maybe I'll hear from him now that I got the seeds :)

Shitty news for this thread people. First, I haven't been around much for two reasons. Number one, my new laptop took a shit and its in the shop. Number two, I have been WAY too busy to keep the threads live. Harvesting crop 2 took over a week. During that time, I also had to manage the transition of crop 3 into the flowering room, take clones from the last batch of the strains I have in my pool (they either root or I loose the strain at this point), AND keep track of the germinating seeds I hastily started RIGHT before all this other drama played out. Shit got stupid. Me and my assistant made hella strong brownies and some of that famous red Apollo 13 bubble hash... drinking 30 packs of PBR like they were going out of style, and trying to rest between trim sessions.... shit got all fucky. In the end, only the skunk seeds I previously mentioned made it and only 2 PCK's were planted. If that wasn't shitty enough, there was a mixup in the germinator, and the only two of the Greenhouse seeds that made it (besides the previously mentioned Trainwreck) are now mystery plants. Good news? Well, the two that made it from greenhouse look way different from eachother and one of them looks totally different than the other two. So One MIGHT be a Trainwreck - I already know that looks like a fat leaf indica with round tips. The other Mystery plant has really rigid blade edges on medium fat indica leaves that are pointy on the tips. So who knows? That one is either a Cheese or a Church - either way, that is good news, they ARE feminized, so that's pimp stat. I am hoping its a Church and the one that looks like a Trainwreck is a Cheese. That would be the best possible outcome. The best possible outcome on the PCK would be that one is a Male and one is a Female with the Purple Phenos. The odds? 50/50 and 1 in 4? Not the worst odds in the world. But before I even clone them for sex in a month or so, I will have already ordered ANOTHER batch of PCK's, so have no fear. I also know about a grow shop in a certain big Michigan city that sells clones that are "already figured out." Like the Pink Pheno Plush Berry - so I will call them and see if they are working with these PCK's. In the meantime, smoke a bowl of this red bubble and relax, its going to be a minute. Cross your fingers on the Purple Female and the Male! That will save us all some time on this thread. Wasting money sucks, but I look at it more like an AWESOME example of how time and money are basically one and the same. I mean, if I could have hired one more person (should have) to trim, I would have those plants. Anyways, I probably could have done it all, but this is not the only thing I do every day, and it always makes me cry when I see plants die. The clone box is another nightmare. I had a slime problem right off the bat that I didn't catch until there was a row of dead clones. Now, I am basically hoping against hope that I get a dozen out of 30 out of it. This, just two weeks after selling all these strains off to the dispensary. ! FUCK! Pics and more updates will come throughout the week, crop 3 is looking nice, plants are like 4 to 5 feet tall... alright, see ya next time.

I just looked at a bunch of threads, and, well, it looks like the one mystery plant is for sure a Church! based on this pic from a grow journal about growing Church:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v83/PJWill24/S7300302.jpg

aight, just HAD to share that, peace!

OK! Enough is enough already.... time to get these journals updated. I hate when I find a cool thread, and I want to read it through till the end and LOL and behold, the fucker cuts off after the first three weeks of the grow. Not here my fiends... here, we will finish these journals, even if they are somewhat spotty and incomplete as far as photographic documentation. I still have a pretty shitty camera - better than what I started with, but not much. So I don't get excited to take the flics like I would if I knew they were going to turn out looking like the centerfold of High Times or something.

I'll start by telling you a little story to get you back in the loop. A lot of things happened since this project began. Summary: Only 2 PCK seeds made it to plant status. No Big Deal, right? As long as one of them is a male, I still have everything I need to pull this off - EVENTUALLY! Fuck that! UPDATE: I just put a clone of each of the PCK's in the bloom room, so we will know at least half of the story in a few days. Then we should find out more about the rest of that story shortly thereafter. Hoping for a Male and a Purple Female... If I get a male and a green female, I will either have to inbreed them myself or simply order another ten pack of seeds. If it is a male and a green female, at least I know I can just go with the feminized seeds and order them. Whatever it takes to get this shit under way. Swear words don't get red lined on here, haha. But haha and lol did. Fuckers. This site is so third world, I doubt the DEA or local LEA even bother trolling it. Anyways, so that is where that project is. Oh yeah, and I made sure to retain my copy of the Brother's Grimm Clone-Only Apollo 13. DUH! No reason to loose those genetics. So, yeah, the female half of the project is just laying in wait, as they would say in a good fairy tale. I have NO PROBLEM smoking her until its time.

The only other order of business on this thread is ti shut down the talk about anything else that was mentioned here. For one, the Skunk No. 1. I found out that the first one was a male. Cool! (Evil Laughing still). Uh, I can cross that with just about anything I am working with and come up with DOPE ASS results. I know this because I used Skunk #1 pollen before. It really brings out the desired traits in any Indica ya toss it on. As far as Sativas and Hybrids with a lot of Sativa in it - you won't believe the size of the plants/buds you end up with when you do this.

What do I have these days (that won't get any more mention here)? Trainwreck I know FOR SURE. Skunk No. 1 - there are 4 of those. Then there are the mystery plants, the mixup uin the pot with the Trainwreck, Church, and Cheese.... Well, one of them looks nothing like the trainwreck. The other one looks a lot like it, in fact, as it gets bigger, yeah, it stretched BIG TIME HARD CORE EPIC. (<--- for you hipsters to "get it"). If you ever grew TW before, you know what I mean. So the odd one out is either a Cheese (probably), or a Church (Hopefully). I will order the other seedpack that has the Church in it from greenhouse to MAKE SURE I get it next time. Dammit> I ordered that whole Indica I mix JUST FOR THE CHURCH! And it ends up being the only one I didn't get (maybe). Such is growing weed life.

I still have seeds I haven't popped, but if you have followed this thread since day one, you might know that I ain't poppin them shits for a minute! Till things CALM DOWN> They are Lemon Skunk, El Nino, and some Nevelle's Haze. No thanks on the haze for now... I am about to build my 2-room 24 hour bloom building, and when that happens, I will be able to juggle 10 to 12 week plants. I can't wait to mix this skunk no 1 with the haze, and so on.

Then there is the clones that I have acquired over the years, and impressive fucking list, if I do say so myself. All of them GREAT for breeding and Hybrid making:

Apollo 13 (Brother's Grimm Clone Only) = Stellar Genetics, Ridiculous Resign Producer, Makes Red Bubble Hash
G13 (Airborne Copy, Clone Only) = Strain that legends are made of, literally. Super Potent, super Dank, Super Dense Nugs and better than Avg yields
Northern Lights (16th Generation MI Outdoors) = The most talked about Indica that performs like a Super Sativa, this baby yields like NOTHING ELSE, and the taste is MOST people's favorite. Potency? SUPER HIGH ME~!
Juicy Fruit = Pure Indica, Huge buds, Huge Yields, Way Above Par on resign production, Fruit flavor Pheno, uh, did I mention it makes chicks creme their panties? No? Okay, I won't.
White Lightning (BC Seeds 2010 WL - White Widow x Jack Herer) This is THE BEST white strain I ever grew. If I grow a better one, I will trade. So far, I have had this clone for 2 years, AWESOME STILL!!!!
Pure Indica (Hash Plant of Unknown Origin) = Bag seed I found last summer. Hash Plant smelling buds, have yet to tray em. the plant grew very fast, medium resistance, medium to medium high yield. More Later.

So mixing the Skunk No. 1 pollen or the PCK pollen with any of those or the TrainWreck, Church, or Cheese will work out really good. I think I will do that eventually. I still plan on starting the first run with just the Skunk No. 1 pollen. The crop after that will have the Apollo 13 in it anyway.

So that is it for now. I will toss some pics up in a few....

So the two on the left are the PCK's. The trainwreck is the second one in front on the left. Most of the rest visible are Skunk No. 1.
