I always enjoy reading people's grow journals, so I figured I would start my own. I have a closet grow going on right now, but that one is 5 weeks into flower and I want to start one closer to the beginning. I'm doing a small pc grow with an auto flowering strain because I want a small but quick strain in between my much slower and larger crops coming from the closet grow. This is also my first auto flower and first pc grow so it'll also be a learning experience. I'm going to be posting pretty much any time I do something like water, feed or whatever.
I cut cardboard in the shape needed to cover the inside of the case. Then I glued an emergency blanket to the cardboard. I did this so I could have a reflective surface inside the case without having to put the emergency blanket on the case itself. I have a standard 6 outlet power strip glued to the top of one of the case's side panels. Then I have 4 23 watt CFLs in the power strip using adapters. The two fans are powered by the same computer power supply as my closet grow.
The soil is 60% potting soil, 30% perlite, and 10% sphagnum peat moss. I'm growing Russian Rocket Fuel from Short Stuff seeds. According to their website, the strain grows 11-18 inches, so I'll probably have to LST.
I'm 13 days from seed right now, and the Short Stuff site says this strain takes 8-10 weeks to finish. So hopefully I have enough to add over the next 2 months to make this interesting. I will be starting very light nutes next watering which should be in 1-3 days
Subbed. Looking great so far. Do you have a journal for the ones in your closet? I was torn between rocket fuel and diesel ryder. rocket fuel will be my next autos for sure
And pics from day 14 on the Russian Rocket Fuel. A little bit of new growth! I'll be feeding it for the first time either tonight or tomorrow sometime.
And here are more pics from the closet white widow grow. Day 36 and I just gave them some water. I'll be feeding them in 3-4 days. They're very frosty right now which doesn't show very well with my cell phone camera. I was thinking of getting more Y adapters next grow just to get more light and increase the size of the lower buds.
Day 16 of the Russian Rocket Fuel grow! Love seeing the new growth every day. So far it looks like this plant is going to be pretty bushy. Fed it with 1/4 nutes yesterday and the soil is still very moist. Will probably not need to water for at least 2-3 more days.
And day 37 of my closet white widow grow. They're pretty frosty already and VERY sticky to the touch. I can gently run my hand against them and it feels like my hand it covered in sap. Some of the hairs are brown already. I'll be feeding them on either wednesday or thursday.
