Final Stages of Blue Cheese & Space Queen's, Hempy vs DIY Airpots-Hempys Dyna-Gro vs Botanicare

Hello guys the title says it all. I am a soil grower and have had good results. Hempy buckets and the Airpots have always caught my eye. I like the ease of use without pumps loads of water etc.

The Blue Cheese are all from seed that I bought from north Ca by Tusanami seed bank. I have done tons of search on them and have not found any information on this seed bank but they were cheap so I couldn't just pass it by. I love Blue cheese the way it smells and how it makes my body feel.

These Blue cheese are at final stages of bloom as I got 7 females out of 10 seeds. I kept 1 male for future breeding purposes. 4 of these Females are due to harvest in a month and the last 3 seeds won't be done for 6 to 8 weeks. All of these are in Grow bags with Roots Organics Soil using Dyna-Gro nutes.

The second thing I am doing in this Journal would be 4 Hempy Buckets filled with 100% perlite vs 2 Airpots Filled with Roots Organics soil. 2 of the Hempys will be Botanicare vs 2 of the hempys with Dyna-Gro. Dyna-Gro will be used in the airpots since I have experience with Dyna-gro and none with Botanicare. The only thing I have of Botanicare would be Calmag which is awesome! These will be grown with my Space Queen clones.

Enjoy the pictures. I apologize for lousy pictures. They were taken by my phone camera.

The last picture is when Blue Cheese was in Veg and the 2nd picture would be the first week of 12/12. The rest of the pictures are 30 days of bloom.

I am growing for 2 med club members so I am limited to 12 plants in bloom, however I am only doing 7 at this round to pick out the best Blue cheese out of the 7 females I got from the 10 seeds pack. Once the first 4 of the Blue cheese are done I will be bringing the Space Queen's Hempy vs airpots - Dyna-gro vs Botanicare to bloom from the Veg room.

Enjoy these pictures of the past grows of Space Queen and Jilly Bean. This is my first grow Journal so lets make it fun my growers!!!!

If you guys have Space Queen, Blue Cheese, Black Domina, White Rhino, and last Chem Dawg x Kindy kush grow pictures or buds pls do post them here. I have these strains at my disposal.

Here are the Space Queen in Hempy buckets and a SQ in 5 inch square pots to be transplanted in 2 gal DIY airpots. I have the airpots on the side which I don't like how they are tall and narrow causing the plant to grow taller. I prefer the pots to be squat and wider to create a bush plant.

Notice that the Hempy's are growing slowly the first week after the roots hits to the reservior at the bottom of the hempy they should catch up or speed up this week.

These are blue cheese that are 46 days into flower. There are 2 different phenos that I have currently that are almost done. One produces a spear shaped bud while the other one is more chunky. I am only showing 2 out of 4 that are 46 days into flower since these 2 are nearly done while the other 2 seems to need an extra week probably more hybrid than these 2. Tell me what you think?day 46.jpg2 day 46.jpgday 46 BC cola #4.jpgday 46 cola #5.jpg

I can't wait to smoke these and choose the best out of the pack.:joint:

Final stages of the first 4 blue cheese are almost here. I cant wait to take out my scissors and chop chop the whole plant. I took down a test cola on 2 of the plants to see how I like the high. These blue cheese seem to only take on the cola style so I am thinking these might be better for SOG style of growing. I have never done an SOG grow. Here are some bud porn and they are coming along nicely. They are just starting to amber a little bit so a few more days to go whoop!:bigjoint:

They sure look good to me. There is a slight difference between Big buddha's and Tsunami seeds. Keep posting with progress I am curious how the 2 different seed bank's blue cheese are. You shouldn't have a problem with the dense cola's since all they do is grow big dense colas. These are the most dense buds I have grown. All the growth seem to be focused on the cola's from all the 7 females I am growing.

LST and super cropping sog style probably would be the best way to grow these strains or a long veg Scrog? We shall see.

I am really leaning towards blue cheese being a long veg strain. At least from what i have seen from big buddha's on other grows. I dream of that Bright purple/blue bud with a nice skunk cheese to it, One bowl for the movies and two bowls for a knock out sleep.

I agree that they should veg for a bit longer. They don't seem to stretch almost at all during flower. These were 12 inches when I switched them to 12/12 and ended up only 21 inches tall total. It probably would be better if I veg until they are 20 inches give and take a few inches

looking real fresh :)
Why, Thank you!

Thanks, your too kind. These blue cheese a bit small compared to yours. I doubt I will even get more than 2 oz each since I put them into flower a bit early I think. They are between 18 to 21 inches tall right now at the end of bloom stage. Yes, They sure love Calmag and I do add a bit of nitrogen up to 6 weeks.

I am really liking this plant. This produces golf size nugs. Trimming is sure a bitch with these blue cheese. So far I have chosen 2 of them for 2nd round and final decision making. 2 more Blue cheese to choose from coming up in 3 or 4 weeks. Here are bud shots, all trimmed up.

Tomorrow I will be adding a few pictures of the whole reason why I started this thread, the Hempy vs DIY airpots all of these are in 2 gallon black buckets. So be ready to see some action in the next few weeks. The airpots are in their first day of flowering. I am keeping the hempys in the veg for another week to get a bit more height.

Airpot buckets were used with mykos by xtreme gardening. They grew pretty big quickly, However the ones in the hempy are much more bushier and really thick stems. Hempy's need an extra week in veg due to a week of roots growing down into the reservior. Once the roots have hit the reservior they start to take off in all directions which is a good sign.

To be continued.....In the mean time smoke one and have a great one!:joint:

Hello Folks! Hempys are still in the Veg box for another few days while the Airpots are in thier second day of flower. The airpots were used with roots organics which I love that soil. Hempys are filled with 100% perlite and 1 marker size hole 2 inches from the bottom of the bucket. You can see the difference in growth pattern even if they are the same strain.
