[Purple Mazar + Wembley + Critical Express] Grow in 1 Liter AIRPOTS - 170+PICS !!!

DAY 1 to 4

Strain: 3x Purple Mazar + 2x Wembley + 1x Critical Express


Well, here is the beginning. My hope would be to make out of this auto-grow : My first 2012 smoke.
As usual, I planted the seeds straight to soil and I coverthe whole plate with saran wrap. Then they are placed on a light heat source.


By day 4, two Purple Mazar were out. I place them directly right under the CFL so they can't grow long at the beginning.

DAY 7 to 13

By day 7, one Wembley and the critical express were born as well.
By day 11, the other wembely, the last Purple Mazar came out of soil.
The last purple Mazar is on the lower left, I was about to throw it away when I noticed that the seed was sprouting under a big piece of soil bark.
When I took it out, it was a nice surprise .


Now all the 6 plants are out, I'll wait for them to develop more and then I'll use the 85W CFL 2700k.

DAY 16 to 18

Medium: Soil + airy peats + perlite
Ferts: None
Strain: 3x Purple Mazar + 2x Wembley + 1x Critical Express


Each plant is developing fine except for the last Purple Mazar which has the same development rate but with a smaller size.


At the last minute, I heard about AIR POTS but I couldn't find any real review about them.

Since I have a limited space to grow, I decided to give it a try myself.
They were all repotted after a quick stop at the garden store.


The plants grew up fast! I didn't have time to check them everyday but I was surprised when I was opening for watering.

DAY 20 to 25

Ferts: Enzymax + Organic Grow + Alguamix (Organic liquids from Platinum Nutrients)

The plants are doing fine and I just myself 3 organic nutes from a friend.
It will be helpful for this stage. He also has an Organic Bloom that I'll take later.


I has to check for them showing sex or not because I did'nt want any male.
Oh surprise! On day 24, one of the first Purple Mazar (all the way to the back and left on pics) turns out to be a male.... Motherfu**er!!!
I thought about executing him on the spot but I put it on the side, in case I decide to use it for a later production of seeds.

DAY 27 to 29

At this point, I am pretty sure that all of them are female. Except for the last Purple Mazar (front row) which is under high surveillance.
On day 28, all the hairs came out but nothing on the late Purple Mazar.


I still keep the CFL close to the plant, I had to check more often than usual to make sure that none of the leaves get burnt.
I am now convinced that the closer the CFL is, the better light they can enjoy.


A light smell is present in the room but nothing too suspicious. I was able to cover it with incense.

DAY 30

Well there is a big change of plan..... I found more space! Enough for using my 250w HPS that I only used once so far (see my last auto-grow).
I also decided to kill the male Purple Mazar.


I placed 3 car sun shields around the set-up in order to obtain the best possible reflection (yes I am talking about some ghetto solution here).
It was good enough and I also put the 45w 7200k at the middle for lower and side buds.
The HPS gave a good result in my last grow so let's hope it will also happen with this one.


At this point, the fastest plant is the first Purple Mazar.

DAY 32

I changed my cellphone camera for my JAPANESE cell phone camera. Which is actually our average camera in the west.
Better quality.
I took out the 45w 7200k CFL and changed it for the 85w 2700k CFL. Better spectrum for flowering.


From now on, I'll take a picture of each strain at each watering. Therefore, I'll be able to see the evolution.
Like last time, the Purple Mazar is more in advance. It might just tay this way because she has the most buds.


The HPS really boost all the plants.

DAY 40

The plants are in the ful stage of flowering.
Buds are getting bigger and bigger. A purple color is appearing on the advanced Purple Mazar.
I love this part. everyday is a happy day for them (therefore me on a later date).


The temps are too high, this is the reason why the leaves are not straight. Fixed.
No trichomes at the moment.

DAY 45

NICE! First word that came out when I open the room. Buds are fattening!!!
There is a smell, but a fruity smell, coming from the 2 Wembleys. From now on, they have my attention.


Again, the Purple Mazar is on fire with the top buds but the Wembleys are also fattening despite the thin leaves.


Remember, this is exciting to me because I am using 1L pots. It's already better than I thought.

DAY 48

I still have some time, until the end. My last auto grow gave me the best auto-buds that I've smoked in only 50 days.
It won't happen here but now I can see trichomes coming out of the Wembleys, Critical Express and the Purple Mazar.


You can see that the buds are already starting to suck the sugar out of the leaves. Yellowing is present.

DAY 51

More bud development in the last 3 days. The fattest bud belong to the Purple Mazar.
I haven't read any smoke report from the Wembley but it might be interesting. Many sativa leaves, lemony smell. I can't wait to try it...
The Critical Express is not so exciting... I was trusting it for bud quantity but it doesn't give me satifaction there.


When you think about it, the Purple Mazar that was late is now having a better potential.

DAY 54

The Wembleys are finally giving a better result. The top buds are filling but the lower ones as well.
I can't catch the purple color with my camera. It might be visible later.


By the way, the only reason I was giving the plants 4 hours of dark is to allow fresh and cold air to get into the grow room.
Otherwise, I might have tried 24 hours of light.


Today is their last feed with organic ferts. Only bottled water will be used after this feed.

DAY 57

I am now trying to see when I could cut the first plants. Yes a it early but the first Purple Mazar will soon be ready for chop.
The Wembleys as well, the yellowing has been fast. I had to cut leaves these last few days in order to take clean pics (the leaves were dying).

DAY 59

This is December 24th, the thread is now up to date.

The Purple Mazars are getting more purple over the time.


I decided to cut the first Purple Mazar and the 2 Wembleys next week.
I am giving them some more time to fill up and to grow some more brown trichomes. Most of them are cloudy (about 90%).


The Critical Express and the other Purple Mazar are not advanced enough to be cut.


But everything is going according to the program. Put them in jar by 2012.

OK, the 4 first pictures are the 2 Wembleys and 1 Purple Mazar going to a dark closet for 48 hours.


Then there are the Critical Express and the late Purple Mazar that will continue their cycle under the HPS.
For how long? I don't really know.


It seems that the Critical Express has a good smell over the time. A good curing should give a good result.
