A Girls First Time

My green thumb is more or less a stub. I have killed a fair amount of house plants in my life time, yet one still remains. A bamboo plant that houses itself in rocks and water. Thus making my choice in grow style an easy one. My first post will consist of what I bought and how I plan NOT to kill anything.


Once your done viewing the pic's I do understand that I have one sorry sorry looking light. I'm looking for 600 watt or hell a 1,000 watt. But with a budget One can't be to picky

Items bought: Tray, Water pump, air pump, air rock, Rock wool, 1/2 inch tube (8ft) ,valves (x2)And a partridge in a pair tree

While I'm pleased you decided to join this forum and document your grow.
I don't want to see you live up to the term criminal as you've taken on that
username,,,so please replace your avatar immediately if that is your face.

You didn't mention that you're a legal med user in Cali so I'm assuming you're a potential target for the Law that frequents this board and others like it.
Technology today would make it painlessly easy to nab you with what you've posted ....Don't do that!

As far as cheap bulbs look no further than 1000 bulbs .com get the plusrites from china,,they work great and specs are the same as hortilux eye concerning burn time,lumens etc...cost is 1/8 the price.

You'd be wise to buy a Ballast off ebay and have it sent to a friend's house that doesn't have a grow... Never your house for anything,especially stuff coming from online hydro stores...

A single variable 400 would work for that space, get a MH and a HPS bulb for the life cycle of your lil babies..This would be about 30 bucks for both at the site I mentioned..
Run down to Home Depot ,Menards etc..get a bag of Red Lava rock for landscaping and rinse the stuff off good..then grab up about 25 Blk hydro containers from the store you purchased that ebb n flow table from,Get the timer set so it floods the tabe to the desired level,this should be where you place your rockwool cubes
into the containers about 3/4 of the way to the top,the rest should be filled with lava rock,then bury the remainder of the cube under the L rock.

You don't want that rockwool being in contact with that water(nute solution) that shit will wick it up ,hold it and you'll have very dead plants in as little as 24 hrs.
You're missing some critical components to that ebb n flow set up....Get these and check back...Kay?
