Moby Dick vs. Nebula Growdown d(".")b

I wanted to run a side by side comparison of Dinafem's Moby Dick and Paradise's Nebula, both White Widow x Haze crosses, select parents, and cross the the two.
Here is my initial write up.

Day 28:

The soil mix is pretty much prepped for 5-6 weeks growth before amendments. The Moby Dick is due for a feeding maybe in a week, 1/4 dose DG Grow to see how it responds, but that's only if I see a lighter green color on new top shoot growth. I try to let the soil provide the nutes and the sooner I use liquid nutes the sooner my roots want to stay higher in the pot. If I keep them questing downward initially, when I do push the liquid nutes or top amendments I rarely have problems with burn or lockout.

Soil:
3 gallon nursery pot
2.25 gal Promix 3B
0.5 gal wurm castings (org)
1 cup vermiculite
0.75 cup 4-3-3 with bacteria/fungus (org)
0.5 cup bat guano (10-3-1) (org)
0.25 cup bone meal (6-9-0) (org)
2-3 earthworms
<edit: this soil is for high EC strains, normal EC add 1 tablespoon lime>
<edit2: I use only rain water>

Light:
18/6
Week 1: 26w 7500 k cfl - 2" from each top.
Week 2: 26w 4500k cfl (I used 400w hps this time, I was lazy) - 20" from tops.
Week 3: 400w mh conversion - 16" from tops.
Week 4: 400w hps - 9"-12" inches from tops.
Week 5: 400w mh c - 16" from tops.
Week 6: 600w hps, etc etc, adjusted as needed for growth pattern.

LST:
Pot placement is four pots, 2x2, each plant is at one corner of the reflector.
26w 7500k cfl underlighting, one per plant, start week 3, rotated from front to back every two days.
Place mylar screen on inside of pot, behind each plant, 0"-6" (I have an old mylar box, cut off strips, fold like a screen, pin in place with bamboo)
Rotate pots, start week 3, rotate 30 deg every 3-4 days, try to give undergrowth light from above.
Pull side branches outward, push fan leaves under, side branches will grow out and up with cfl's and screens, then clear the canopy for the hid.

I want short, stout, scrog-like growth without topping or heavy lst, one monster main cola many side colas. I place one plant per 100w of hid min for veg and 200w of hid min for flower.

Here's an update on Potzilla. 31 days, 15" tall, fookin (thanks Ocalli, haha!) huge and growing. Nebula is no slacker, but compared to the Moby Dick it looks tiny! I'm getting great node spacing, though they are both gaining in height rapidly. Moby grew two inches this light cycle. The leaves are finally elongating so it looks more like weed. Responds well to lst, just tucking and arranging the fan leaves like little light collectors.

Pics are 1. Wednesday, 2. today and 3. Moby side shot.

Thanks dudes. I'm excited to see just how big Moby is going to get. I've posted this pic before, and I'd love to match it in the spring, but here is the potential:

subbed. dinafem's moby dick is an amazing plant, grew a freebie outdoors and it yields serious weight, had to stake the hell out of her.

There are two phenos, one is a shorter indica dom that is sweeter and faster flower, while another is a taller sativa dom. I believe the one I have going is the shorter, bushier pheno that has the desirable sweet taste I am looking for.

Nebula is reputed to have a honey taste, so I am hoping the eventual cross will carry on those traits. Well, that and the supposed space weed high. Realistically I want a plant that is medium height, fat, bushy, and tasty from the cross.

So far Moby is just getting bigger and bigger, a whale of a plant. The leaves don't even really lokk like pot leaves, lol, but that's just fine. I'll be putting it under the 600w at the end of the month. Nebula is smaller, more compact, but a mirror of Moby Dick, just scaled down 50%. So a plant somewhere in the middle just might be the result of a cross.

I went out to the grow room this morning at 5:00 and noticed that all of my plants were doing well, leaves standing up praying for the light. They were all reset to 9" below the 400w just before lights on at 6:00 pm.

Moby was already one inch (2.5 cm) taller than it was yesterday, at 16".

I went out there just a minute ago and the thing is 17 1/2" tall. 1 1/2" in 3 hours.

I decided to name this Moby "Momona". Ho, get choke da kine dis yeah, brah!

Day 35 update:

Moby Dick is now 21" tall, Nebula is 17" tall. Moby's side branches are all out of the canopy and easily lst'd by hand into place, whereas Nebula has shorter side branches that have to be pulled away from the trunk with string. You can see the side shots of each. All pots have been rotated.

I broke one branch on Nebula and now I have my first clone.

The 28 day Nebula is at 12" tall, but it is catching up quickly. The side branches are still a bit too short to lst, but by Friday they will be ready.
I plan on vegging 6-8 weeks, but I'm leaning towards 6 weeks, so the first of the year I'll flip the lights.

The 35 day Moby and Nebula go under the 600w next week and the 400w begins phase II of this grow (4x C99, 4x Armageddon; cracked yesterday).

Feel free to drop any questions or comments.

Pics are labelled, last pic is of all plants.

<edit: pic one is labelled backwards, Moby is on the right, Nebula the left.>

Note:

The light is 6" from the tops, I'm moving it up 1" per day, and Moby hangs out at 5" below the light, but still grows up to 4" from the light.

Momona want light!

I'm watering tonight and I will be giving Momona 1/4 strength DynaGro Grow, although this is just a test to see if it can handle nutes yet.

Moby Dick is a girl! I'm a proud papa who noticed female pre-flowers tonight. Flipping to 600w hps, 12/12 after 18 hours dark period Wednesday, so 6 weeks veg on the dot.

Update coming tomorrow.

Day 42

Moby Dick is now confirmed as a girl at 36" tall.
Nebula is 32" tall and her 35 day old sister is 29" tall.

So no Moby Dick x Nebula cross just yet, but that is another grow.

The one week old Nebula clone cutting is starting to yellow just a bit, so a feeding is due tomorrow.

24 hours of dark starting tonight then Moby goes under the 600w, and the three Nebula will hang out under the 400w at 12/12.
