Dinafem Blue Widow

Hello, starting to set up my grow journal for my 3rd time around. First time was a half success second time was a success but not a great yield. Soo I'm doing things different this time. I've ordered the strain I want instead of getting what the dispensary gave me, I'm upgrading my lights and, I'm utilizing my spaces full potential.

Here's the specs:

5 Dinafem Blue Widow seeds, 2 freebies (1 CH9 Humboldt & 1 CH9 Aroma), 1 Afghan clone. 7 seeds 1 clone.

Growing media will be a mix of Happy Frog, Coco Coir, & Pearlite.

Nutrients will be fox farms complete line (big bloom, grow big, tiger bloom, kangaroots, microbe brew, open sesame, cha ching, beastie bloomz)

Germination will be in a paper towel between 2 plates.

Seedlings will start under 125 watts of florescent for a couple weeks then moved under my 400w eye hortilux blue metal halide in a sun system yield master supreme 6" hood powered by a 400w galaxy digital ballast. The 400w will be running on light rail 3.5 to utilize all of my area and the florescent from before will be used as side lighting later on.

I'll be budding (most likely) under a hortilux 400w super hps.


I've got tiny stuff left to do for the grow set up like extension cords and timers and fans. Other than that I'm just waiting on the seeds. Hopefully I've sparked some of my fellow growers interests and some people will subscribe as my last grow journal no one posted in. I was quite dissatisfied with the RIU community. Show a guy some love. We should be up and running within a week.

Seeds came here today! Just an FYI, I went through Attitude Seeds and they got here 6 days after my order was made. I live in Washington, so good time I'll be germinating tonight, and we'll get some more pics up. Show some love fellow farmers.

Blu - Did you have to sign for the Tude beans?

Thanks Blu. Yeah, I just contacted them again last night about this whole signing for seeds crap. They told me the would take care of me so I wouldn't have to sign for beans anymore.

Alright, get them beans popped and start the show!!

UPDATE: I got my room all set up, we are fully functional and up and running, ya buddy! Seeds went into germination late last night, I'll check on them tonight again, I've got my coco coir/happy frog all set up in cups for the seeds to go into. Once these beans pop... it's showtime I do have a bit of an update though, my best buddy wanted to grow 2 plants in my closet and so he threw me a hundred bucks and I gave him my 2 freebies, he also helped set up. So I myself will be doing this journal pretty much only on the 5 blue widow that are mine... doesn't bother me none but I will keep up on the CH9 Aroma and Humboldt as well for you guys. Show some love fellow farmers.

Blu - How big is your grow area? All those girls are going to get big, fast.

All these blue have hermie traits (watch carefully Im tellin you)

BH didnt but DP BB did hard every one sooo(even dina fem says to expect it with there bberry(which is what yours is made from go to there site

got one blue widow going that i got as a freebe so i am hear to see how yours comes along mine is looking great just waiting for pre flowering and then i will snap it into a 12/12 so best of luck on yours and cant wait to see what you get

Space dimensions are in the first post. But its 5ft 8in long X 2ft 2in wide X 7ft tall. Ill watch out for hermie, ill try not to stress them, but I did plan on topping & tying.

Alrighty, 4 outa 5 of my BW seeds have popped with the taproot long enough to plant. The 5th seed hasn't popped at all.. its makin me nervous. The 1 CH9 aroma seed is popped, just waiting for the taproot to get longer. The CH9 Humboldt seed hasn't popped either. Hopefully it and the last BW are just late bloomers *finger's crossed*

4 BW's went under flourescent today, I'm praying for the 3 other seeds.

100% germination success, FYI. All seeds are planted and waiting to sprout
