Synopsis:
So here we go...after my DEC Alpha Server case grow, I decided I needed to step it up a notch. After smoking some REALLY good G13 from a local grower I had to try it out myself, so I snagged all the seeds I could from my dealer + the couple I had in my bag and off we go.

So far here is the situation, I got 5 seeds to start in 3 days doing the good old paper towel germination technique, and the rest of the seeds i just planted 3 in the rest of the pots and i'll slim it down to 1 in each pot.

So right now I have 9 small pots in a closed container (first pic), and the 4' fluro worklight sitting right over the top of it. One seedling has already popped up, just waiting on the rest. Hoping for 6-8 total plants to transplant into the tub. The tub has the bloodmeal/soil/perlite mixure in it about 15" deep.

Question: Should I also turn on the HPS or wait until I can uncover the seedlings?
Question: Should I just keep the fluro on 24/7 or also put that on a 18/6 timer?

BTW I've only spent $100 total on the lights+soil, the rest I already had :-P

Looks good so far. For the seedlings you really only need the one light on for a while but running both won't hurt anything.

Here are some updated pics of the little sprouts:

Hopefully I'll have a few more sprouts...keeping the dome on hold at about 80F, and 70% RH

Time for a few updated pics.

Still only 5 seedlings. Had to water them today, the soil was pretty dry. Hopefully I don't have to water them daily, but I might have to due to the HPS drying out the soil. Humidity is around 65-70% at the moment. Trying to get a few more seedlings out of the few seeds left I planted that did not germinate. I have a couple more I might try germinating and throwing in :blsmoke:

I've read the whole thing a few times and I'm still utterly confused by your pic. Are those all in little pots attached to a giant pot? Sorry if that sounds really dumb, not really sure how to describe what I mean.

The little pots are just sitting in the big bed that they will be transplanted into :D

Update time:

Transplanted the 5 seedlings that were in small pots into the flower "bed"...noticed roots starting to poke out the bottom of the cups :)

Also had a random seed start that i threw in the soil, and I had another seed crack open in a shotglass full of water, so thats currently sitting in a jiffy pelllet in a small pot.

Definitely hoping for at least 1 male...so I can pollinate and get a stock of seed since there is no more of this available...like I said before came from a plant that went hermi on the guy...so hopefully I can get some stable seed out of this. Either way it'll be a learning experience...supposedly this only has a 42day grow cycle...so this should be quick :D

Also started adding in some neuts...got some 10-20-10 water soluable neuts ive mixed up to a 200ppm total(85ppm water to begin with)...so slowly adding in some bloomies into the mix :D

Everything looking good...5 strong plants so far with 3 of them starting to grow 5 leaf nodes, 1 just starting out that decided to pop from the soil itself, and another growing away as a seedling in a small pot. Will transplant that one in a couple more days once it roots itself a bit more...will update pics either tonight or tomorrow :)

Here are some updated pics from this morning:

There is a decent closeup of one of the plants on pic #2, does there appear to be any nutrient deficiencies? It appears to be a bit yellow to me...but I could just be overanalyzing things again...

G13 seeds? Then it is. Crossed. With something, "G13" only comes as a female clone from my understanding! Good. Luck!

If it seems a bit yellow then go ahead and give a light nute dose. Can't really tell if it's yellowed with the hps on but doesn't look unhealthy from what I can tell.

Yeah looking at it this morning when the lights came on with just the fluorescent going they were definitely not as yellow...very nice green...i've been giving light neuts at about 350-400 ppm lately in every other watering. I'm having to water almost daily because my soil drains like a mofo...which is good...just need to pay attention...no drooping of leaves ever so i'm not overwatering at all.

Yeah I found out its an Afghani/G13 autoflower cross...so its a big ol mixed bag of shit to get to this point in its genetics...but boy does it look pretty when cured :D
